Who is 2nd best wr all time (Calvin would be in discussion but he retired early and his team never contended) .

Randy - best Raw talent of ant WR ever . Speed , on field IQ, , hsnds, route running , size he had it all . Except the physical work ethic , wasnt really a great big game player , would take plays even games off at times. Had off field incidents.

TO - had the raw talents of Randy but not the hands or IQ. His toughness, sheer strength and aggression on field separated him. He didn't take plays off and would gladly play injured ( played his heart out under months after broke leg in Superbowl) . He was an awful teammate. He never had any real off field trouble but was a locker room nightmare. Also likely bipolar or something like it.

Which all time great wr deserves #2 behind Rice? Rice by the way lacked the raw talent of either Randy or TO but had Jordanesque fire and competitive an out worked prepared everyone ever at wr.

For 1 game I take TO for career on my team Randy.

Still should be in the discussion though
Not IMO He had 1 amazing season and was good but not Randy/TO good rest of time. Physically and raw Talent he likely is Goat there but only shined like it 1 year ( 122-1950-5 )....... However Fitzgerald might deserve a shout there. Marvin as well.

I think you can make a case the Rice was the best football player ever not just receiver.

I would take Moss over TO for number 2 I think but they are close.

Megatron

Moss and Owens were prima donnas.

If you're asking me who I'm taking at WR1 if I'm making a team, Johnson might even be #1 over Rice.

Obviously, career accomplishment wise, Jerry is clearly #1 and you can debate the next 4-5 with ease.

1 maybe 2 or 3 seasons ia better to you than Randy , TO, Fitzgerald, Marvin ?

He was probably the greatest physical freak at WR . Had one of greatest ever single seasons (only 5 tds tho) But the best? Top 10 i agree

Rice was great and best ever career at WR like never touched but imo no. If I was voting I go LT , Reggie White , or Brady.

Dude had 1300 yds, 12 tds on a team that went 0-16. Talent perspective, guy is likely best to ever do it. You had him on any halfway decent team and lord knows what he’d have done. Statistically, as already mentioned, he is not #1, that’s clearly Jerry. Probably bottom end or even outside Top 10 statistically

When you're 0-16 Your throwing all game an he was only weapon. IMO that record doesn't make that season amazing because of - its a good season but there's 5 or more of those every year. . He had 1 crazy year when he had 1950 yards an 122 rec. For his incredible size only had 3 years over 10 tds. Dude was a physical freak but most talented? Imo No that's Randy. Calvin was bigger and stronger than Moss but Moss was better everywhere else. Moss had an really high field IQ that gets overlooked as well. Moss only draw back was he didn't always play hard n took playa even games .......... or seasons off.

Megatron got unlucky in the draw had he had a better team he likely plays longer and maybe makes a case. But he just didn't do enough as is.

Prime Moss impressed me more than Megatron and I love me some me!

That's a tough one. Took a quick look at their stats and they're virtually identical.

I'd probably give it to TO. He was still cookin at the age of 37 and was well on his way to another 1000 yard season before he tore his ACL. Moss was cooked by the time he was 33.

I don't know about careers, but Moss in his prime wasn't only clearly better than any other #2 candidate, he was arguably greater than peak Rice himself.

There are always two arguments when these discussions happen GOAT and GOAT Peak.

Rice is the GOAT WR and likely the #2 greatest NFL player of all time.

Peak WR I would probably go Moss in 2007.

Johnson 2012 was also incredibly hard to top despite the lack of TDs.

Like goat golfer - Jack Nicklaus
Goat peak - Tiger Woods.

Dunno about Megatrons peak equaling Moss. Megatron had had one of greatest years ever ......... so did Kupp and noone would put Kupp in convo and he had many more TDs. Physically and athletically megatron is there n likely goat of that .

You’re describing GOAT Season. That’s different

That's what Megatron had and that's pretty much it. I always said .Megatron was a huge waste of talent. Not saying he wasn't good he was he had 5 or 6 seasons that were very good. But noone ever had the combo of size , strength, speed, hands as Mega . That was equal parts Team sucked but he had Stafford a decent part of career and Mega just didn't have that fire. Fire counts ALOT Rice isn't even a top 25 raw talent WR. he had that Jordan mentality and a crazy work ethic (along with good physical tools) that I do t knows been matched in nfl.

Of which Kupps season was unequivocally the best ever
No - 17 games Mega got his 1950 in 16. Kupp did it on a Superbowl team Mega on lowly lions. Kupp got triple crown and was incredible that year but he had the best offense in NFL . I consider Megas season much more impressive considering.

Then again I also dont consider Dickerson as having greatest rushing season. He did it in 16 games had OJ played 16 he is well ahead.
