**Rampage Jackson's Best Win?**

It's only 20% because the second fight with Chuck is the correct answer. You silly Sherdogger.

Knocking out a guy he'd already beaten before?

A guy who, after the loss, went on to lose 4 of his next 5 fights? It was the beginning of the skid at the end of Chuck's career. He lost his next fight to Jardine for crying out loud.

I don't think you're taking into consideration what Dan Henderson had accomplished up to that point, how much more competative the fight was or the fact that it was getting the belt from the organization that Rampage made his name in at last, making him a double Champ rather than only the UFC belt.

I'm not saying it wasn't a sweet sweet knock out. Just look at the bigger picture.

Chuck II was the BIGGEST win... but Chuck I was the best win in terms of what he demonstrated.

Well 5 Sherdoggers are geniuses, not the Machida voters!:icon_chee

His best? I'd say Arona just because it gave him a huuuge push in publicity. Besides that probably Wand.

No, knocking out a guy who had never been knocked out before. A guy who was riding an 8 fight streak and was considered unstoppable at the time. Rampage was actually the underdog in the rematch iirc.

You need to look at the bigger picture. Hendo was a great win, but the second win over Chuck far supersedes it.

Demolishing prime Chuck. No one ever dominated Chuck so badly, and no one has done it like that since. He fought a perfect fight, from the striking, to the wrestling, and the pure aggression. Classic Rampage.

It definitely wasn't a better win than the Chuck rematch or Hendo but it was a good win nonetheless. Many of us expected Machida to be a horrible matchup for him stylistically but Rampage proved us wrong and managed to beat him fair and square. The fight was a stinker, but that was entirely Machida's fault and shouldn't be held against Rampage.

in conclusion, you have a different opinion then me, you must be ignorant.

I agree though I think these 2 fights were definitely his best wins, it is hard to argue anything else as his 2 best wins. people also would argue with anderson his 3 best wins are franklin 1, hendo, and chael 1.... its all about opinions buddy

Best for his career: Chuck 2
Best for the highlight reel: Arona
Best fighter he faced (in 07 both Hendo's wrestling and striking were on point) and his most impressive performance: Hendo
Most important to him: Wand
Most surprising to me considering the match-up and their capabilities at the time: Lyoto

Tough to vote. I guess Hendo based on the edit in the OP.

The noobs will say Chuck II.. but it's Chuck I for sure. ;)

Igor, Igor was a beast, that was a huge win for Rampage and any follower of Pride realized how impactful that win was for a guy like Rampage at that time.

didn't he win that by Injury? It didn't show he could outstrike Vovchanchyn either.

Igor put him on the map, Randleman made him a contender, Chuck 1 made him the #2 guy in the world and made Pride prove a point.

Rampage: Chuck 2 made me a star. When an old lady is howling down the street, you know you've made it. That fight made me a millionaire.

Based on what criteria?

In terms of...

...who's the best opponent he's beaten? Hendo.

...most important win in terms of furthering his career? Chuck II, no doubt.

...most brutal finish against top competition? Tie between Arona, and Wand III.

This sums it up I believe.

ESPN was all over Liddell and Rampage 2. They showed the weigh ins on ESPNEWS and showed the highlights after the event. I'd like to see more of that.

Beating Chuck in 2003 was a much better win than beating Chuck in 2007, Chuck was young and in his prime in 2003, that is a great win!

id have to go with the second fight with the Iceman. while the first one was more impressive overall, he was a big underdog in the second fight. Chuck was at the top of his game back then and people thought no one at 205 had a chance against him.
