No love from the ref
Corner had to throw the towel

"UFC fighter dies in PRIDE ring"

I think PRIDE would have loved this news headline

Was finished once after Shogun in Pride. With a little bit of luck the time between Chuck and Jones could have been his era.

I'll never forget that Arona slam. When I show people the fight, I pause it when Arona is at the peak of the throw and say, "Imagine, the last thing you see before you get slammed is thousands of people staring at you awed".

I wish he had the same mentality as some of the other greats once he got older. He could still be competitive if he took training seriously. Always a fan tho. Slampage was a beast, and definitely a great personality.

He’s looked better in his old age than most of the other greats despite being visibly hobbled by his knees and back. At this stage in his career, Rampage is living off of cage savvy, which is ironic seeing as he was always labeled as a guy who got by on brute force and strength over technique. Though he’s not producing the highlight reels of years past, he’s also not getting starched. If you consider who he’s fought, how many times he’s fought and the amount of time that he’s been fighting, Rampage probably has the greatest chin in MMA history.

Also watching Rampage torture Chuck did it for me
Because I watched Pride before I ever really knew who any of the UFC fighters were I never really liked Chuck to be honest.
So I enjoyed Page making him quit to body shots
Well, Chuck didn't follow the game plan.

;), love hearing Dana get pissed about that

One of the very best Light Heavyweights of all time. I thought he won the fight with Forrest, but after that loss it seemed like he was done and just didn't care about fighting and improving anymore and stopped taking things seriously. At his very best, he can hang with any fighter.

Rampage is awesome. At his best he was one of the best LHW ever. I still tune in to his fights whenever I can. Legend

With his trademarked devastating slams, aggressive fighting style, one punch knockout power, along with his larger than life personality, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is one of the most charismatic fighters to ever compete in mixed martial arts.

Rampage Jackson’s legacy is that he is one of the greatest light heavyweights to ever compete in MMA, he is a fighter who every time he stepped into the ring or the octagon, he always did everything that he could to bring excitement to the fight.

Fighting accomplishments aside, Rampage Jackson is one of the most entertaining personalities MMA has ever seen. Whether you loved him or you hated him, you have to respect him.

Always been a Rampage fan...

He was kind of a dark horse to be the unifying fighter for the LHW titles... Which was pretty awesome..

I remember some “bros” I was friends of friends with back in the day had obviously not really heard of Rampage and the fact that he had beaten Chuck bf was one of the worlds great mysteries to them... And based off going into the second round with Marvin Eastman was all they needed to solidify that Chuck was going to knockout Rampage....

When Page hooked Chucks head off... It was so satisfying watching them not understand what had transpired...

That and Rampage doing the Rashad Stanky Leg impression makes me laugh every time... The fact that he does the face and mouth movements with it... hahahahaha... fucking classic.

I thought he was at his best around the time Juanito Ibarra was his trainer.

The show where Ariel is trying to mend Rampage's relationship with his ex, which Ariel was basically responsible for breaking up LOL, was so epic and in typical Rampage fashion weird.

Cornerstone of a generation.

I fucking miss PRIDE, boys. I want to go back. At the time when you're watching it you just think it's gonna last forever but it ended so quickly.

Some of my favourite Rampage quotes:

Interviewer: “Chuck said in his pre-fight interview it’s gonna be a first round knockout. What do you have to say about that? First round knockout?”
Rampage: “If he plans on getting knocked out in the first round that’s his business."

"All I gotta say is.. there's gonna be some more black on black crime."

“You can make a mistake and get caught in a submission, but Chuck made a mistake and he got caught in an ass whoopin’.”

"I'd rather lose an exciting fight than win a boring one"

"After the fight Quinton came up to me and said ‘no, you won the fight', I thanked him and told him he's a great champion too, even more for acknowledging that [I won], it's not easy to do that, but he added ‘don't you worry about that, you won the fight, and I'll give you a rematch because I know I didn't deserve this win.' - Machida

one of the dumbest, most retarded, unfunny morons that appeals to the lowest common denominator in mma history

a true genius obviously, although this one stands out-
"I'd rather lose an exciting fight than win a boring one"
