Its not hard to believe at all, as someone that goes to these shows multiple times a month and knows the exact kind of people that go to these shows, I can pretty much guarantee theres never any violence there
You sound like a guy thats watched Wrestling With Shadows one too many times and believes all that bullshit, this aint the territories and it aint Stu Harts Dungeon, its not a bunch of steroided up tough guys and shoot wrestlers with anger issues, its a bunch of weekend warriors that will never make it farther than these warehouse matches doing pretend shows in front of family and friends and maybe a couple hundred dedicated fans, most of them socially awkward non violent weirdos and a lot of special needs people, which is how I got into this scene, because of my special needs nephew
The only time Ive ever seen any kind of almost violence happen at the literal hundreds of shows Ive been to is when a grown special needs guy leapt into the ring from his front row seat and tried to pretend like he was making the 3 count and no one beat him up, they simply told him to get out of the ring and then yelled at him, this was before they knew he was special needs
Yes, there was one tiny ass little referee in there who was obviously terrified of the giant enraged black man violently and brutally trying to beat a man to death right there in front of him and he froze in that moment(which is the exact same thing you woulda done, lets be honest here, hero) but youre trying to extend that failure to act by the referee as a failure of everyone in that building and that is just not true
People leapt into action immediately when they realized what was happening and got to the ring as soon as they could, that is a fact
