It got shit-canned for being "racist" because it portrayed the Mexican villains in the films in a negative light. Who would have thought they would portray the film's villains as bad people? Nevermind the fact that Rambo and his family are also Mexican and painted in a positive light.
It was a great film. It was simply an empty action film like the other sequels. I had some depth to the story like the original. It was a perfect ending to the series.

Im confused by your review. You call it a “great film” and give it a 9/10 but then call it “an empty action movie like the other sequels” and then several posts down call Rambo III “really mediocre”.
I will agree with you on the empty action movie part though. It feels like a shell of a movie. It’s all of 89 minutes long and 10 minutes is the montage from the previous four films. Now I’m not for all movies to be 197 minute long epics like Marvel is starting to do but it has to be one of the shortest movies ever released to theaters. I feel like the editing/pacing was really bad/off too.
