Rahkmonov kinda sucked

This bald beta Dana White hates sigma Shavkat Rakhmonov. He gave him only 1 fight in 2021, 2 in 2022, gives no time in embedded, didn't allow to fight Barberena in January, didn't made this fight in january main event. And now he even gave Neal a 50k which he took away from Shavkat. Also if we consider all robberies of Zhalgas Zhumagulov, can we say that Dana White hates Kazakhs?
Why would they sign people they dont like and put them on PPV Main cards?

I am not even trying to compare Khamzat and Shakhvat, but if Neal had 50% of the drive Burns has, it would be a more difficult fight for Shakhvat, a much more difficult fight.
Lol

If this guy was better he woulda done better

yeah the dude that lost 3 of his last 4 fights....yup that dude LMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It happens to most former world champions. Does not make them "not that good" whatever the fuck that means. You can point to any fighter's losses and make the same inconsequential half assed implications.
You're both wrong... or right, idek, but my OCD needs me to point out you have the exact same join date
<JackieThumbsUp>

You're underestimating Neal's boxing here...Neal isn't an easy fight for anyone...guy is durable, have good boxing and isn't easy to wrestle with...Neal could upset anybody including the champ....Burns, Colby, Leon and Usman will have trouble finishing Neal...Shavkat's pace throughout that fight was insane....and IMO that's the only way you can finish a guy like Neal...

As you can see, I agree. I just don't think one bad performance defines him. If it becomes a pattern, then sure.

Im really not
I know how good Neal is trust me
To me, the fact Shav also knew this and came out with such a stupid game plan as to just go ahead and eat punches like that was a real downer for me and spoke volumes of his fight IQ. He got hit a lot more than the echo chamber here realizes

he looked absolutely amazing and is progressing accordingly.

Lol

That is not true at all. There are many examples of people being worse than we expect or think they can. There are even GOAT level fighters doing that. But of course, just a speculation, nothing can be proven.

So what should have been his gameplan? Neal is notoriusly hard to take down and has a iron chin, he has never been finished before.

Thats how Shavkat fights...He could not take him down so he had to kickbox and he did beat him standing in every round. If Neal had worse chin he would be KOd.

Exactly why you're underestimating Neal's boxing...he's crisp and accurate and Shavkat still made him miss some shots...he picked Luque apart...Shavkat is actually winning the stand up...Neal's problem is that he doesn't have the offensive wrestling or kicking game to advance...he relies on his combinations and durability to get where he is....Nobody is rushing to fight him also because he poses problems for other fighters...a boxer with power and good takedown defense is not easy to fight...Shavkat walked him down and took his best and destroyed Neal...Shavkat also has great cardio for 3 rounds...I'd like to see how it plays out when he gets into 4 and 5 rounds...

I'm with poster. If you're going to sit here and act like the dude didn't get hit clean so many times with chin in the air, I don't know what to say lol

He got hit by a guy known to have fast accurate hands sir, that shit is going to happen.
How he responded to it is the key, and he responded quite well.

He's got all the tools, but now he knows he needs to sharpen some... plus he gained valuable experience in the process.

Oh, and he won the fight by stoppage, he didn't coast when he could have.
That says a lot about him.

That Neal that we saw saturday would have a chance against anyone in the top 5. Cant take him down, really really good boxing and heavy hands combined with iron chin. The fact that Shavkat beat him standing and even was the first fighter ever to finish Neal speaks volumes how good Shavkat actually is. These guys seem to think that you just "gameplan" and suddenly you just turn into different fighter. Nobody will dominate that Neal we saw saturday.

I agree with everything you stated about him always looking for the finish and actually finish a good fighter who never been stopped.

I was just pointing the obvious about him leaving his chin up and not getting of certain line. That damage he took can't be good for his chin.

I agree that just taking damage is not a great defense sir lol.
But he showed that he can take it if need be.

I think he'll learn from this though which is a positive.
He's a special fighter with a great mentality to be fair.

Oh I dont know...layback a little and make Neal the aggressor (ie learn to counter) once in a while mightve eased the mumber of shots he took if not make him less predictable which compounded Neals abiility to drill him at will

The entire night Shav was moving forward with his chin up

Its why I called him Bizarro Superman in OP

again my issue wasnt the oppponent so much as Shavs approach and how it effects his overall reign as an 'elite' it wont last if he keeps like this

Look at it this way. Neal has enough power to put down Luque and Shavkat walked through it amd beat him up. Was it the most polished performance? No. Was it gutsy and entertaining as hell? Yep.

That guy fought with the raw energy, grit and aggressiveness of a young Shogun Rua. But that indeed means a bit of recklessness in there as well, and moments that’ll keep you on the edge of your damn seat, because he takes a shit ton of risks.

But as one of the commentators said, you don’t get a 100% finish rate fighting safe. This guy doesn’t fight safe. And that makes him damn fun to watch, but yeah at some point it’ll cost him.

Fighters usually take a step back when they feel the punches hurt or they can't handle it....other than Neals Jab, he wasn't really landing a lof of clean punches, probably the reason Shavkat was confident to walk him down...Shavkat has a variety of offense that made neal a counter puncher...he's not giving Neal an easy target the way Luque did...Shavkat takes his head off the centerline hence Neal's straight punches doesn't land clean....those knees to the body were brutal...

Wild, and here I thought we found some common ground yesterday. Now I'm in an echo chamber guy?
