Rahkmonov kinda sucked

Hes a better striker than Usman was at 29 that's for sure sir.
Head movement is a completely different animal imo

Are you able to name strikers who leave their heads openout who were able to vastly improve on head movement? Head movement to me is almost like having natural punching power. Plus i think Shavs issue is that he has poor fight IQ

I think Khamzat would have 0 problems with Neal. Burns is not a good comparison because of the sub threat.

But Shavkat would have won by decision even if there was no finish.

Khamzat was playing around looking just for ko. He had the wrestling advantage yet he didn't want it, choosing to stand more often.

Youre right its worse than suport

You excuse it
He can definitely work on some things, none of these fighters are perfect, but he's definitely not hyped. He's one of the most well rounded and complete fighters in the division. The fact he has things to work on just means he hasn't reached his ceiling, and he just beat the #6 guy convincingly. Imo that's pretty fucking good.

That said, yes, throwing a rear hand uppercut as a lead punch is very disheartening. Before you call the man all hype, let's see how he comes back from this fight and if he adjusts his decision making and defense.

Regardless being ranked at WW and a 100% finish rate don't happen by mistake.

It's like a paragraph big fella, don't hurt yourself.

I would like to see shavkat vs belal or Colby next. In my opinion he looked great against neal.he ate the shots because he knew he could.ya he got rocked a time or two but he worked through it fine.when he turned up the heat he was scary.

His defence definitely left a lot to be desired, will probably be a humbling fight for him. He didn't show Neal the proper respect and took some big shots for it.

Fuck that, they were gay for that. A few of us boycotted that shit.
agreed, that was super lame. caps and exclamations? drunkenness? jon jones just achieved once in a lifetime greatness and i can't be excited with textual words? bizarre

Holy Fuck.... the dude has one of the best jabs in the game right now and one of the most underrated straights

You got a lot to learn fella
Lol just a few fights ago usman was labeled as a wrestler whos learning to strike. His full arsenal of striking sucks. He’s got a good jab, but he was arguable losing the striking vs colby in 8 of the 10 rounds they fought.

Thats why he got laid out by edwards and wanted none of that standup in their fight. And the moment he tried to stand, he got laid the F out.

i swear u guys start getting on a fighters hype once they become champs. Usman’s striking has always been his weakest area, he KOs masvidal and suddenly he’s some amazing striker. He got lit up on the feet by burns too. U got a lot to learn kid.

Looked damn good and very impressive considering it was a big step up in competition

Neal can bang.

Well he's been fighting profesionall MMA for almost ten years and he was also an accomplished amateur.

Even from one of his rare losses one can see he wasn't just a grappler:

Neal made him look human, but never seemed close to winning so that's not a bad showing for Shavkat. His closest fight by a country mile, and he does get hit too easily for my liking - seems to have a hell of a chin, but that won't last forever. Still massively on the hype train, though.

wtf are you even talking about? He fought a competitive fight against someone who hits like a truck, a fight he was winning on the score cards, and to top if off he submits his opponent. It was a wildly entertaining fight and Rakhmonov remains a beast as well as a legit threat to the title.

fair enough
I still think this is an IQ issue for Shav

he fought like an idiot last night especially
As you can see, I agree. I just don't think one bad performance defines him. If it becomes a pattern, then sure.

This. Could've been on off night as well. There are so many factors to think about. Neal also missed weight. Whether he did that for an advantage or he was injured, the fact is Shavkat won and retained his 100% finish rate.

We'll know more about him in his next fight.

rahkmonov and khamzat both have legitimate skills, but they also have 0 head movement. instead of feinting, they are content with keeping their heads stationary, susceptible to repeated punches. if they could just clean that up, you'd have borderline untouchable champions.
kamzat is capable of adjusting in the fight tho
shav was being pieced up consistently
one of these punches could have been fatal if hit on the right spot

Want to see shavkat eat the usman vs masvidal punch. No way he can take that.
