Rafael Natal vs Robert Whittaker at UFC 197

Too bad his fight against Bisping was cancelled.

I think he would have knocked the count out and entered the top 10
He got Uriah Hall, beat him and still entered the top 10 anyway. But yeah, beating Bisping would have been a lot bigger for Whittaker

Owner of fastest blatant foul in UFC history. Whittaker better wear a Rogan endorsed steel Muay Thai cup.

Man thanks for posting the gif. Every time I see that it manages to piss me off more as it had a huge effect on hall imo. I firmly believe a point should have been deducted as you said it was that blatant. Who opens a fight with an inside leg kick?

There were several instances in the Casey fight as well including dude basically kalib starnesing it. As a big Whittaker fan I hope that man gets rekt.

That what happens when you ruin an opportunity.
I don't follow?

Whittaker RD1 (T)KO

Agreed! If only god damn Kennedy wasn't in a weird...seemingly by choice limbo.
Yeah, Whittaker vs. Kennedy would make a lot more sense if Kennedy was actually active. The man is throwing the longest hissy fit in the history of combat sports. Although even if he was active, it seems Kennedy is looking for a name for his comeback fight. Something like the Yoel rematch, Machida, Vitor, etc. I don't know a fight with Whittaker would be attractive enough to him to end his tantrum.

Didn't look that good against Hall.
I disagree. It isn't like Uriah Hall is easy to knockout, the only person to ever put him out is Chris Weidman. Whittaker dominated the majority of the fight, landed some heavy shots and had Hall rocked on multiple occasions. It wasn't a "coming out party" type of performance but it's hard to look good against Uriah Hall regardless of how hot/cold he can be. He's a very elusive striker.

I wish Bisping hadn't been pulled from the Whittaker fight. That was a great matchup and would have been a much better opportunity for Whittaker.

Whittaker is continuing on the treadmill.
It's a fight night card with Hunt/Mir and Lombard/Magny already?

Also who else should Whittaker face?

Champ Luke vs Weidman
1. Weidman vs Luke-
2. Yoel- getting suspended
3. Jacare vs Vitor
4. Vitor vs Jacare
5. Machida vs Hendo
Mousasi vs Leites
Brunson vs Carneiro

Natal is top 15 and is on a 4 fight win streak.

Only Dollaway and McRory aren't matched up.
Obviously, he should be fighting Machida instead of that awful, pointless rematch that nobody asked for

I'm happy for Natal getting his big fight, but Robert is going through him. And it's too bad MW contention is backed up with Weidman, Souza, Romero and subsequent rematches because Robert is looking on fire and ready for a contender eliminator similar to Ferguson, Nunes and Holloway.

Whittaker is a much harder, faster, more powerful and overall better striker than Natal. So, Whittaker by ko

I don't see a problem with this fight, at all.

Whittaker is young and while he's on a good winning streak, his last two wins were over Brad Tavares and Uriah Hall, good fighters but not top middleweights. Both are on a similar winning streak and Whittaker has plenty of tme to fight the top dogs.

Whittaker, TKO, 1st round.

Gotta go for the local guy Whittaker here hope he gets a top ten opponent after this one .

Whittaker via murder

Didn't look that good against Hall.

Whittaker? Looked propably as good as anyone can against Hall (not the green version that could barely go a whole fight like vs Weidman -lol at giving Chris some kind of special credit for that). Dominated the grappling, striking, had Hall hurt - something no one's been able to do yet. Overall I would say Robert is easily top 5 guy based of that performance and I would pick him straight up vs Romero or Jacare. Bu thats just my opinnion.
