Thank you. I joined here when I started seeing the shoops. At the time I didn’t understand many of them. I knew there were some very funny people with big hearts that always made me laugh. As time went on and I learned more about the fights and fighters, they became more hilarious to me. All of you shoopers are carrying on a comedy tradition that’s been around since the beginning of sports.

I’m into Japanese wood block prints. They were very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. In addition to themes of nature and the spirit world guess which prints were extremely popular? Those which poked fun at sports stars like sumo wrestlers!
 
I've never shed a tear for someone who I never met and only talked to a couple of times through messages, but this hit me hard.

BWR was a constant source of entertainment, always there to lift my spirits up when the times were hard. He truly made the world a funnier and better place, and he will forever be remembered by so many of us.

I keep reading through all of these posts and I feel like we all mourn together because we lost a dear figure who made our lives shine brighter.

Rest in peace brother.

Very late to this terribly sad news. Even before I was posting and merely a lurker you get to know ‘big’ posters by how they act and say on here. And he seemed like a proper stand up guy. Some of your stories on here from those of you who knew him well just highlight that he really was just as kind in person as he came across on here.

I'll get a shoop thread up in a few days so we can send our brother off in the style he deserves. He loved the shoop scene here and it brought him so much joy, he loved it when somebody would contact him and ask him how to start shooping and that is exactly how we met and became great friends.

He was a mentor to me, a true friend and one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I consider myself lucky that I got to become such good friends with him over the years.

He taught me so much I don't even know where to begin. I struggled so much but he was always there and when I was too dumb to understand something he was explaining to me (which was all the time) he would take the time to make a video tutorial and make it look and sound so simple.

He was there for me when my Grandad passed and asked me every day how I was doing and went above and beyond to put a smile on my face with his amazing art and kind words.

I'm going to miss him so much and I still can't believe this has happened. I love you brother. Say hello to my Grandad for me in heaven. I'm sure you two will get along.

If you want to post a shoop please do but I will get a thread up for the biggest and best shoop thread that Sherdog has ever seen in a couple of days. I need some time.

I also want to say something small to @Arqueto. He spoke so highly of you every time i seen my uncle he loved helping you and seeing your progression . He considered you a dear friend, from the bottom of my heart that you and all of you sherbros for giving my uncle joy and happiness during his time here"

Don’t spend much time in the Heavies anymore, so only just learned of this.

Really sad news, @bigwaverider was one of the coolest, most decent posters here, but what really always stuck out about him was how encouraging he was. He brought great energy to the forums and helped so many of us here. RIP mate, you’ll be missed.

Thanks to @Arqueto for sharing the messages from BWR’s family and opening up about your own feelings.

We weren’t close, but he was one of the first people to reach out to me when my father died. I mentioned it in a post because it happened around the same time Khabib’s father passed away. And that’s how you can tell he was a good person because it wasn’t even the main point of my post but he still felt the need to offer his condolences.
Man, this sucks… Rest In Peace, buddy.
