R.I.P. BIGWAVERIDER The Greatest Sherbro of All Time!

So I found Sherdog back in 2002 and have visited the site every day since (most days I'd make multiple visits as my schedule allowed). I never signed up for an account and just lurked for the first 7 years and only registered because they made P&M forums only accessible to members, so I joined to maintain access to those areas.

Then, back in 2015 or so I started to notice BWR's posts and how level headed they were (which is a rarity on Sherdog and so his and a few other people's posts stood out). His kindness also came through strongly in most of his posts.

This was all pre BWR starting to shoop. Of course once he got into shooping well, he really came became a huge part of my daily visits to Sherdog. Be it his advice and Photoshop tips/tricks, his hilarious shoops, the contests he ran, or just his general MMA discussions - his heart and kindness always was apparent. There are very few people in the world with such capacity for kindness and that are just all around great people. I'm thankful for getting a chance to know him a little, and for the entertainment, joy, knowledge, and kindness he shared with me.

I know BWR has been gone now for some time, and I still think of him every single day while reading Sherdog [Stop with the onions!]

Losing people sucks and when they're good people, it's hurts even more (10x when they're taken far too early).

Anyway, this post is just me wanting to (poorly) express one last time here on Sherdog how much he meant to me and how much he touched the lives of others. I don't post much any more (I used to, more than my post count shows) but want my last post to be a remembrance to BWR. Losing him still hurts but I want anyone that hear's of the legend that is/was BWR to know a little bit of how impactful he was to randos on the interwebs.

In a few hours it appears that my access to Sherdog will be taken away - and no, I don't care what side of the 2FA you fall on, or whether or not you can see both sides, I just know for ME, it's the end of a long era. I'll use my new found extra spare time in other ways (my wife hopes more productively!) but I'll always remember BWR and the way he treated everyone else.

Mahalo!

I just sent you a PM bud. I hope you see it
