Quitting nicotine

No I'm getting off the nicotine. Use zyn and than what ? Stop using it ? I vaped 0.3% nicotine liquid, a elf bar got 2%, so I already vaped the lowest possible dose. Now it's stopping entirely. Just checking in if anyone else had their gym performance decreased by a lot ? I don't got any headaches. Jusy slightly depressed mood and less energy.
It's all ok just what pisses me off that I can't properly work out and get stronger as I would like to.
Smoked for 21 years, quit and then vaped for almost 8 years. Quit in the middle of last year. My slowest record on strava was during that period.

What is strava ? So the withdrawl made you slower
App/website that monitors all your cardio based exercises so you could brag to your friends. Quitting made me lethargic. It's hard enough to wake up at 5am and do climbs when I had nicotine in my system. Without it, I just wanna go back to sleep. I had activities cut down from 4 a week to 4 a month. That might have contributed also to my sub par performance.

A good pre-workout powder will help with energy.
Nope. Not building 500 mg coffein a day addiciton. I drink 2-3 cups a day. I guess averaging 250 mg something. I know someone who drinks like 7-8 small cups. Nope. Plus it doesn´t work on me. Extra coffeine does nothing. I´m already immune.

So I quit nicotie since last monday. Was smoking 0.3% nicotine vape. Smoked for 7-8 years, cigarettes, one use vape and re fill vapes.

So day 8. Still feeling slightly depressed, nothing major, just not excited or happy, slightly negative. However what truly pisses me off is how my energy and strength in the gym has instantly decreased.

Went from 110 kg bench press x 7 to 90 kg x 7 within 3 days. Like instantly lost strength.

Never feeling energised, always slightly fatigued or call it off.

Does this take forever to be strong again ?

Who went trough this while working out.
Damn quitting smoking made you lose gains? I'm never quitting if that's the case.

How much did you used to smoke? That's a low percentage vape. I have a 2.0% nicotine vape which gives me a good buzz although prefer ones that are even stronger.

But I went from smoking a pack in 2 days to like a pack in a week. Smoke maybe 1 or 2 cigs a day. It's just the habit of smoking more than anything that's hard to quit. Seeing other people smoke makes me want to smoke. The nicotine buzz for me isn't all that enjoyable unless I'm high or drunk.

You got the hair transplant surgery a while back right? I thought people had to quit vapes/smoking that get the surgery for recovery and to get the most of the procedure?

I actually vapped trough out it. On the day of the procedure, after, always. Their mistake was telling me I should reduce it instead of I can't. Also I didn't sleep well than half of the time. Is what it is. Habbits are hard to change.

Short termn nicotien withdrawl. Strength loss. Means lifting less so also a bit gain loss. Not really, toxic smoke kills more gains.

I was vaping non stop. Morning, during day, during anything, before falling asleep, always. Even carried it to the gym and hid to take puffs between excercises.

Yes 0.3% takes practice. It's really low. From 2% to 0.3% wouldn't even work. 2% pre made one use vapes taste MUCH stronger. 0.3% liquid barely got any taste compared to it. The taste also gets people hooked. 2% disposable is also nicotine SALT, which is basically the crack of smoking nicotine. It let's you inhale more at once, stronger concentration.

I was a pack a day for 17 years. Quitting was the best thing I ever did. That's the problem with nicotine, there are immediate benefits to using it. Stick with it, everything will balance itself out.

To drop nicotine for long term actually is considerably more difficult than to quit use coke or alco.

Sometimes it is advised to lover doesage during long term before quit.

Caffeine alone pre workout will not do a lot...
It is also mainly for short term effect and usually used in mix with other stuff.... ( legal stuff but it might harm ....if too much etc ).

I assume alcohol is the worst. 3% delirium mortality rate.

Wow, I didn't think they'd tell you to knock it off for minor surgery. They didn't tell me to stop with breast cancer surgery but did with hip replacement...which was fine because I'd quit by then. Some people in a video group Q&A session said they weren't told and went in for surgery in the morning, were asked if they smoked, said that they'd smoked that day and were refused surgery.

I gave up alcohol and switched to the Nicotine vape. I feel like it's a healthier option in my life at the moment. Now at some point I'll have to give up the nicotine and i'm most definiitely not looking forward to that!

Much improved. Seriously.

Alc is very dangerous.

Nicotine is more accumulative.

When did you performance come back to normal ? I am having basic fatigue. How long was your withdrawl ? The loss of energy

I can't remember exactly but I want to say 2-3 months. I kicked cigs in late 2018 and cigars in early 2019, like early February I believe, and by spring I was hitting PBs in the gym. Give it a few months, along with the right diet and rest, and you should be good.

Nothing can happen medically but a bad hair result.. But nothing threatening.
