Quick Poll to Find Out Which Presidential Candidate You Agree With the Most

I'm a little suspicious about Clinton and Sanders match levels being almost the same.
Certainly doesn't match people's perceptions.

Also baffled about getting a 53 and 25 match against Santorum and Walker.
Did you weight things and answer the expanded question set? Doing so causes much greater separation between the two (for me at least). It's not really surprising, the main questions will get at key aspects of party affiliation.

go figure

Yep.
That's how it got so slow.

Bernie Sanders - 96%
Hillary Clinton - 83%
Martin O'Malley - 72%
Mike Huckabee - 41%
Jeb Bush - 41%
Rand Paul - 27%
Donald Trump - 25%
Ben Carson - 23%
Scott Walker - 17%
Lindsey Graham - 11%
Rick Perry - 10%
Carly Fiorina - 10%
Marco Rubio - 9%
Rick Santorum - 9%
Ted Cruz - 3%

I have no idea how I keep having 30+% in common with Mike Huckabee. I really figured I'd have more in common with Santorum and Rubio than him.

Also, fuck Ted Cruz.

I got 1% agreement with Cruz. Pretty similar to you overall.

Yeah, I weighted a lot of things as least and just a few as more.

............................still waiting for a champion level leader..............................pickings look slim in terms of innovation. :icon_lol:

87% rand Paul, 75% Bernie sanders
Those are my top two. I'm surprised at the Bernie Sanders thing.

This definitely dropped my jaw, but it looks like I need to be paying closer attention to a familiar face.

And, unlike Paul or Bernie, this guy has a legit chance at winning. In fact, I predict the primary comes down him and Jeb. In any case, I anticipate this will be the first Presidency in my life where I don't vote for the Democrat. Of course, I have learned to never underestimate the amount of crazy the Republican party is capable of rolilng out during the campaign. The fringe of the party and its pitchforks always drag down their best candidates who fall into that pandering trap.

I'm a bit horrified that Santorum and Cruz came out ahead of Clinton. Uh, hell no. Gonna start paying more attention to Scott Walker.

Given how articulate you usually are, I'm also very surprised at your findings.

Our results were almost identical. I would vote Paul if I thought it would make any difference.

I sincerely doubt our votes even count anymore.

Ain't my fault the Democrats have gone full retard. I can't even tell which party is less tolerant, anymore, but the social engineering via righteous mob-justice has gotten out of control.

I was glad to see that a paltry 79% was my top match. It appears that I may be somewhat of a Sherdog anomaly in the fact that I think for myself in all matters and don't draw from a committee playbook.

Kind of sad to high five to our own irrelevance, though, when I think about it.

I must have confused you with someone else.

Eh, Paul really isn't a viable candidates for those who agree with his platforms. His voting record is perhaps the most conservative of any candidate despite his rhetoric. I'm trying to find the chart, but his data points on rhetoric vs. voting record are miles apart. At the very least, his father used throwaways to help substantiate his talk.

Where are you from, if you don't mind my asking? Fact of the matter is, most people don't like to think. Period. Thinking about the big questions causes many people to have anxiety and can cause serious waves of existential crisis' to some. Yet, the fact remains that the unexamined life is not worth living. Thinking analytically and critically are the two most fundamental elements of the human condition and most people simply give it up in order to feel a part of something. The relinquishing of the ability to think in order to fit in, quite honestly, is the greatest human tragedy. Banality at its most sublime.

I'm from Chicago, Illinois.

I got

76% Clinton
72% Bush
66% Paul
65% Sanders
62% Cruz

I'm starting to question the validity of this program. There's no way an overlap like that exists between the two. Heck, I got 96% for Bern and 3% for Cruz.

It's a fun exercise. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. And anyway, in the general, individuals barely matter. In the primary, I'd say that being electable in the general is what matters most, by far.
