Quick Poll to Find Out Which Presidential Candidate You Agree With the Most

Lol my exact reaction when I read his post.

I thank science every day that I was not born and bred into that culture. I liken it to one of those horses with the blinders on.

Where are you from, if you don't mind my asking? Fact of the matter is, most people don't like to think. Period. Thinking about the big questions causes many people to have anxiety and can cause serious waves of existential crisis' to some. Yet, the fact remains that the unexamined life is not worth living. Thinking analytically and critically are the two most fundamental elements of the human condition and most people simply give it up in order to feel a part of something. The relinquishing of the ability to think in order to fit in, quite honestly, is the greatest human tragedy. Banality at its most sublime.

Bernie(D) 83%
Hillary(D) 82%
O'Malley(D) 67%
Rubio(R) 62%
Paul(R) 58%

Did all the extra questions as well as the sliders on the left. Bit surprised that Paul isn't top 3 but I guess his views were a bit too extreme... does he want to eliminate borders or something like that? It was a bit too extreme even though I felt children of illegals born in the states should get citizenship.

90% Bernie on environmental, social, economic, healthcare, education, foreign policy issues
76% Hillary on social, healthcare, economic issues
61% Rubio on immigration

So you're a market socialist then. Redistribution lol that's heresy in this country. Throw in more taxes alongside redistribution and you'd be labeled the antichrist.

Socialism is worker control of the means of production (so no redistribution needed). I think that private ownership works best for increasing growth, but that that growth should then be distributed more evenly (otherwise, what's the point of more growth?).

Socialism is societal control over the means of production, not just workers, because workers aren't the only components of society, especially not a healthy society; which is exactly why the so-called dictatorship of the proletariat is so fucking stupid. Capitalism definitely works best to improve the productive forces. No question about that. But capitalism is incompatible with democracy, precisely because of whats come to be accepted as sublime human nature: avarice. Pure and simple. Capitalism erodes democracy little by little and we've been seeing that with corporations being treated like citizens and having more influence over elections than people do because of donations. Capitalism is completely compatible with plutocracy, but not democracy.

Looks like Sanders would work for me.

Apparently I should live in just a few NE spots or coastal CA. Not a surprise.
My results were pretty different between the basic questions and the expanded.

Awesome. Bernie and Rand. Two people that folks project other folks won't vote for so won't then consider themselves. Clinton is a liar so no way I really agree with her this much. :)

I get the same feeling, though admittedly I haven't followed the campaigns much this time.

Sanders 88
Clinton 80
Paul 57
O'Malley 56

All others 25 or lower.

I'm really surprised anyone could agree 77% with HC and 73% with Santorum. I'd think those two were on pretty opposite ends of the spectrum.

Bernie Sanders - 96%
Hillary Clinton - 83%
Martin O'Malley - 72%
Mike Huckabee - 41%
Jeb Bush - 41%
Rand Paul - 27%
Donald Trump - 25%
Ben Carson - 23%
Scott Walker - 17%
Lindsey Graham - 11%
Rick Perry - 10%
Carly Fiorina - 10%
Marco Rubio - 9%
Rick Santorum - 9%
Ted Cruz - 3%

I have no idea how I keep having 30+% in common with Mike Huckabee. I really figured I'd have more in common with Santorum and Rubio than him.

Also, fuck Ted Cruz.

I'm a little suspicious about Clinton and Sanders match levels being almost the same.
Certainly doesn't match people's perceptions.

Also baffled about getting a 53 and 25 match against Santorum and Walker.
