Social Question about shark attacks.

My wife and I used to Scuba all the time and did shark dives where we actively sought the "experience". First one is Black Tip Reef sharks the second one is Bull Sharks.

That second one was just stupid. I really should not have done that.

Now I live on a boat and see them all the time. I just avoid them. Mostly they approach because they think they are going to get fed. I say fuck off and slap them with my fin.

I really, really, really don't like getting in the water at night because they cant see, I cant see, and they are hunting on electrical impulses.

Some sharks are totally friendly like nurse or lemon. But people who get too cuddly with ANY sharks are stupid. I fucking HATE people who feed them at anchorages or marinas.

I'll be in the water later today and gopro a couple that hang around the boat.

ETA:

Yup... went out without the cage today in search of these man-eaters. Behold! The APEX PREDATOR!!!

Wow, that's cool as shit. I always wondered what it would be like living on a boat.

But I cant give you a like until you toss those goggles. Unacceptable.

Lots of bull sharks swimming around here where I live. I've yet to read a story of a human building a relationship with one. Don't imagine I'll try that myself.

Entirely different from sharks, but I see a number of dolphins swimming along the back canal near my place. I also see them jumping out of the water from time to time as i drive over the causeway to the mainland. Being a fan of the TV series Flipper as a kid I could see being with a dolphin as being enjoyable.
Bulls, Tigers and Oceanic White Tip Sharks are more aggressive than other sharks.

Sharks are not malevolent killers horror movies portray them to be, but anyone telling they built a bond with a shark must be pretty damn high.
Sharks are some of the most primitive fish out there, calling them dumb is a large overstatement, a great white shark's brain weighs 35 grams for fucks sake.

I dunno man.

Kevin Richardson seems to be doing just fine..

but...fuck that..

Mammals are different than fish and reptiles. Mammals seem to enjoy the bonds. They tend to like groups and make friends and play.

I don’t think reptiles act like this. They don’t have play time or make buddies. They don’t cuddle. They seem to go on pure instinct as well as situational rewards.

Gopro makes everything up close look wonky.

That being said I've had that mask over 15 years!

Besides the brain weight your post is completely wrong! Sharks have among the highest brain body size ratio comparable to mammals and birds.

They have social hierarchies, problem solving skills, outsmart seals and dolphins hunting them, memory and even “buddies”.

They are quite “smart” for a fish.
