I engaged in a mildly headache inducing discussion with a coworker about Qanon. Apparently a guy in the deep state named “Q“ I’m guessing from Star Trek TNG lore.

Knows all the secret society shenanigans cannibalism, phila, and devil worship of the left and various celebrities.

Sooo while I believe that secret societies exist ie Free Masons, Skull&bones, and the like.

The thing is the proof.

if there is this guy within one of our National Security sgencies who is anonymous And knows all this highly sensitive info....

Why doesn’t he flood the web or at least the dark web with all of his proof?

And if that ever happened how would it change your day to day?

Pretty much. For what it's worth, Q clearance is indeed the name of the clearance that allows you to read classified stuff and the like. It's no secret it exists. That Watkins dude, using the name of QAnon, claims he has a Q clearance and knows secret stuff.

Conservative "hero" Ronald Reagan, among others, took part in the "ritual". Nixon is seen on the right.

I mean it's a whole movement based on creating countless nonsensical boogeymen for the right to froth at the mouth over... including evil demon Tom Hanks. And most polls I've seen indicate at least of half of Trump's supporters believe it. That is not a tiny fringe movement. Having thousands and thousands of people legitimately believe that most democrats are philes and only Trump can save the world from them is fucking deranged. And we all know Trump supporters as a rule ignore facts and logic entirely - so nothing will convince these people it's not true even though there is not 1 single shred of proof of any of it.

Qanon isn't something new, my friend.

its a malleable arm of the right wing here in the United States, and they've gone by many guises throughout the last half century. in the 1980's, the mask they wore was that of the Moral Majority. in the 1990's, they were the fiscal hawks. in the aughts, they disguised themselves as the Tea Party Patriots.

and now its Qanon.

the common thread they share is an interesting one; they all cloak their loathing of progressive values in lofty terms. their awfulness is always in the service of something noble - a cause which they then discard whenever the narrative of said cause becomes inconvenient.

Qanon is just Davide Icke's decades old lizard people conspiracy theory rebranded without the lizards.

They use philia as a lightning rod because it's a horrible offense that is so evenly distributed in the population that if you accuse a large enough group of it, you will be able to find examples to point to.
