Social Qanon Megathread V1

i think the numbers of people who are trump supporters who also believe in some of the truly crazy aspects of q anon are pretty high actually. its right in line with a couple of intersecting problems our country is facing that have reduced critical thinking.

fundamentalist Christianity is partly to blame because rather than allow literary and historical criticism to deepen their understanding of the bible they went off the deep end and rejected it causing a completely unnecessary and permanent rift between scientific advancement and fundamentalist beliefs.

the new age movement which has infiltrated millions of american's homes with pseudo science and all kinds of impossible to believe ways of thinking has produced a similar rift between reason and logic and its followers.

i know there are other factors involved but in these two systems of thought you are trained to trust your feelings and intuitions as a way of gaining certain knowledge and that has lead millions of people to confuse feelings for facts.

the problem is that q anon sounds true in the mythological sense, as a mythology or a metaphor for reality. q anon and all mythologies resonate because they speak to archetypal realities but obviously that doesn't mean they are true historically.

"evil greedy reptilians" are a metaphor for greedy corporations and politicians who have lost their humanity, a single, often belligerent lone hero who can save the town (trump) resonates deeply with our american western mythologies etc.

these things sound a chord in the myth brain and to the uneducated that makes it feel literally true and they are duped.

Nail on the head, my good man. I think much of the horsepower behind the movement intersects with American Evangelical Christianity, which became big business in the 20th century promoting a "wait and see" platform riddled with proof-texted and completely misinterpreted passages of the Bible. Everything is a code, everything points to rapture and Armageddon. Everything is 4D chess.

And when predictions didn't work out, it's really easy to justify your charlatanism by simply saying, "God works in mysterious ways."

If I didn't have a conscience, I'd create a platform and fleece every one of these rubes for all they have and build an abortion clinic with a Satanic chapel right in the middle of Oklahoma.

I admit I hadn’t done as much research on QANON as I should have and was only really aware that they pushed hyper right conspiracy theories. I took some time to look into them and some of their claims and I was blown away. My biggest question is, is Q a troll?
These claims are so bizarre and outlandish that I thought it must be some elaborate joke that suckered a lot of people. I mean, they never have proof, nothing ever materializes, but people just keep believing in what they are saying.
My second question is, how many folks are actually bought into this? Has to be a very vocal, but small group, right?
this shou;ld clear it up ....https://www.bellingcat.com/news/americas/2021/01/07/the-making-of-qanon-a-crowdsourced-conspiracy/

Q seemed to be a legit whistleblower/insider at first, but was quickly dismissed as an alphabet agency psy-op. The huge red flag was the trust sessions nonsense. Anyone even considering Q as legit after that was played hard.

It's long been known that the original Q poster was the creator of 8chan, Jim Watkins.

Nothing about this CT makes any sense. I'm sure there is an elite global ring of :eek::eek::eek::eek:s, no doubt about it. But why would a former reality TV star / tycoon and idiot President be the one to 'expose it'? He'd be the last person you'd think would even care, let alone be capable of doing so.

Trump went deep undercover playing the role of a licentious playboy decades ago - even becoming close friends with Jeff Epstein and attending numerous sex parties at his mansion - in order to set the stage and appear unthreatening ("I am one of you") to the the Satanic global elites. This allowed him to fly under their radar, win the presidency and begin the righteous work of saving the children and the nation.

Hope that clears it up for you.

b-b-but he got epstein!

you know, the guy who had info on the rest of the fuckers...then he mysteriously died

Like almost all destructive right-wing cult shit, it was very real and then once there were consequences a bunch of people said "Got ya, lulz!" to try to wash their hands of being part of the cult at varying degrees.

Q anon is jim watkins, he fled to the Philippines and hosts sites that enable :eek::eek::eek:s to share content under the guise of no censorship. The irony is hilarious when his CTs are mainly regarding :eek::eek::eek:s
Well, I'm pretty sure it started as him, but I think it's morphed over time to be more of an insane collective.

Alex has been skeptical since day one about Q; it’s not that he “flipped on them” it’s that he is done with their “trust the plan” crap and endless CT bullcrap; he’s basically been finished with them for a couple years since he called BS on Hillary and Obama being in Gitmo; but still brought people on his show to play to the guys who still believe in it.

Alex only likes CT that he comes up with and is not looking at spreading anyone else.

We will know for certain in the next few days, won't we?

I predict mass arrests and military tribunals.....and 4 more years of Trump =)

Pelosi so far has been unsuccessful in getting Trump removed so he has until the 20th but I think things will be going down much sooner.

Hang onto your shorts, this is going to be one wild ride!

And you thought 2020 was crazy?
you're predicting 4 more years of Trump? Want to account bet?

In b4 "I don't gamble"

They'll always pivot the narrative to protect their egos.
It's astounding how some are willing to hitch themselves to a parallel reality; something complety unfathomable to the rational mind.
What happens when we get passed this? What happens to the people who have invested so much of what they "know" into these lies? It's one thing to reconcile with oneself, but what happens to their relationships with the people to whom they've been spewing nonsense for years? It's not easy to regain credibility. I know I've written off a few people in my circle who adhere to Qanon CT stuff. I have enough friends that I don't need this crazy shit. I work in a psychiatric hospital so I don't need to be invited into other people's delusions outside of work.

One of my friends has gotten into it and now I am going to have to watch 6 hours of footage about it before he will really take me seriously talking about it. Sigh.

I pointed them to manufacturing consent on YouTube which is at least a serious media critique at some level, even if it has music etc.
