Jason deserves credit for stepping into the ring three-3!!! times with Bas Rutten. How many keyboard-warriors dissing Jason in this thread would dare to do that? You are keyboard-warriors coz you cant fight unless you you are hiding somewhere behind a screen lashing out at REAL fighters with your dumb keyboards.
Yes, Jason is obviously a less talented fighter than Bas. 0-3 probably proves that, but at least he is a professional fighter regardless of vodoo paintings or not. You guys who claim he is nothing, you have not fought professionally in Japan or have not faced bas 3 times. If you you have so much of that teenage agression in you, than I suggest you go squash some of your own pimples instead of bashing a REAL fighter.

How ridiculous is this thread? Eight pages about what? What's the discussion? Bas kicked Jason's ass three times. It's not like they were controversial fights or anything (unless you factor in the considerable whining Jason did in part III.)
Look, I respect any fighter who gloves up and steps into the ring, but Jason made this personal, only in a desparate attempt to make himself relevant to the MMA world. There is no other motivation. I cannnot respect someone like that.
I know Bas well, and he always shoots straight. He does not bullshit, and I consider him a friend. He is a great fighter, personality, and representative of MMA, and his accomplishments speak for themselves. How absurd would it be for him to come out of retirement to face someone that he has beaten three times previously? Someone who hasn't had a meaningful fight in years, slanders other fighters on internet forums, and talks about casting spells to help win fights! With all due respect, Jason is not on the same universe as Bas with regard to fighting (and apparently other things as well), and this entire "debate" is ludicrous.

Jason is a fighter and I do not want to demean or degrade that
accomplishment, nor should anyone else. A person can command respect on accomplishments alone. However, right is right and intentionally spreading untruths is not being respectful or wanting to be respected. My intent for the rebuttal, was to bring to light some of the fallacies that were being directed toward my brother. I wish no ill will toward Jason and I retain no anger toward him. I only hope that he has the sensibility to stop with this madness and uses all in his power, to move on for the betterment of his own life.

This thread got really ugly,really quick. It sucks, cause I'm old School and I grew up with Bas, Jason, Funaki and such in Pancrase... it seemed so honorable at the time, I didn't know the uglyness that lurched behind.
Anyways, I dig both Bas and Jason as fighters. BLS is just doing her thing, nothing wrong there. Too bad Jason can't elaborate as we'll as BLS or we may have some killer stories uncovered. Unfortunatly, Jason picked the wrong place to talk about Bas. I'd like to see them both fight again, shit, I lobbied for Bas to get in the UFC for a couple years before Perretti came on board. And Jasons loss to Joe Slick sucked.. I was bummed.

Jason - Please take this to heart & move on. You can still make something out of your past accomplishments by making something positive out of this (an apology to Bas perhaps). You inspired me in the past, dissapointed me in the present but you can still impress me in the future.

Mental note hire a real hot looking blond to run debates for me. Just make sure every once and a while put a picture up of her in a swimsuit to get sherdogers salivating. Then have her do the work for me. Great idea good for marketing and great PR every once and a while have her post like this start off by ripping the person then say that I hope you the best
