Q&A on Thailand

the song above is popular in thailand, my friends sing it in karaoke.

I thought I was going to spend my entire trip in Thailand in Phuket, but something got me and I have decided to at least spend a week( more like a tease) up in BKK at Kaewsamrit.

But I plan on doing a day at bangplee to visit some friends there.

Leaving for Thailand in about a week. My brother is living there currently, so will be visiting him. Only be training for a few days, hopefully at a place that has western boxing that Payak was kind enough to recommend.

Other than that, will hit up some of the islands, may spend a day or two in Phuket, and then head out to Cambodia.

if you stay at the beautiful island koh chang, you can easily get to cambodia from there.
i will be in koh chang in 3 weeks.
got a dirty weekend planned.

To where are you going in Cambodia?

Thanks for the suggestion. Will definitely look into it. I think I may miss you by just a few days though, as I am returning to the US on 12/13.

angkor wat for sure. Other than that, up in the air.

Angkor Wat is damn cool. If you don't fly directly into Siem Reap, I'd consider taking the night boat from Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh is a pretty cool place and you can watch the more spectator friendly type boxing there but if you really want to see some old school boxing, you should hit up the area around Battambang, where they still put on fights in the pagodas. It's actually strange how quiet people are during the fights. Siem Reap, other than Angkor Wat itself, is too touristy and the bouts I saw put on there were mostly show/exhibition so I really wouldn't bother.

All of that sounds just awesome. I like the idea of the night boat...that sounds really cool.

Thanks for the suggestions!

That night boat up the Tonle sab is cool as hell because there's little light pollution except for village lights once you clear the cities for some long stretches so you can really see the sky lit up with stars. Once you hit the lake area with the hills and see the village lights, it's good stuff.

If you're going to Cambodia only once, this is definitely the best way to ger from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Don't even THINK about doing the bus.

When you go to Cambodia make sure you do that chicken and cow shooting range:D:icon_twis

I have been training muaythai for about 8 months and am planning on heading to thailand in june for about 2-3months before university. I was thinking Tiger but it seems to touristy? What is the most hardcore gym in thailand(That speaks some english) where i will get some of the best training.

And yes i know half of the training is what you put into it can anyone give me amazing gym suggestions to add to my research thanks.

Edit: Noob Question alert, What does the title Kaewsamrit mean?! Ive looked at the gyms list of fighters and all them have it as thier last name.

Kaewsamrit is the name of the original sponser of the gym

very common to take on the gyms name.
even when some people change camps they will keep there first camps name.

I just got approved to work as much overtime as I want like 10 minutes ago. I did the numbers and all I need is 44 hours of overtime and my overtime alone will pay for a one month trip to Thailand!

No desire for that. I understand that you can shoot all sorts of cool weapons at targets, and will look into that, but if we arent going to eat the animal, I dont want to shoot it for the hell of it.

How much control would I have over the person I am fighting? I have heard stories about guys who are put up against 100+ win fighters, and stories of guys who pay a couple K bhat to win a fight.
