Too many wrestlers who wrestle the same.
NXT at its peak was actually very diverse in both wrestling and character.
Gargano, Ciampa, Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Adrian Neville (terrible name), Samoa Joe, Andrade "Cien" Almas, Sami Zayn, Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens, Lars Sullivan, Demian Priest, Authors of Pain (w Ellering), Undisputed Era, American Alpha, The Revival, Blake & Murphy, Street Profits, Asuka, Ember Moon, Kairi Sane, Shayna Baezler...
...and they all took it seriously, and everyone was at their best, the characters were decent and organic, the vignettes were excellent and got the responses that they needed.
I still like NXT, but most of the roster is a bunch of various smaller guys doing overly choreographed and sloppy looking stuff. Also, their characters are boring.
NXTs biggest mistake was not capitalising on Ciampa being red-hot as a badguy when he returned, instead of playing the inspirational angle with his injuries. Dude was lightning as a bad guy and should have been in Adam Coles spots.
