Holy shit, just realized NXT is in town tonight. Right after my mom just called and asked me to come down and visit.

My mom lives an hour away, NXT show starts in 6 hours.

pretty obvious solution

take mom to NXT

My legit reaction was around ~50% of this strength, but:

Roman and Brock should be a tag team

just act like bullies and do drugs

"I'm not a good guy, I'm not a bad guy, I'm a Paul Heyman guy"

The dirt sheets also tell me that after randy loses to broid lesnar that he's gonna start a feud with styles.

Potential names for this tag team?

"Fully Loaded" is my pick.

PWTorch Report – Ibushi & Metalik agree to deals with WWE, several other Cruiserweight tourney stars on WWE’s radar

As A.J. Styles would say, Kota Ibushi “bet on himself” leaving his home country of Japan for an opportunity with WWE.

Ibushi exited New Japan for a chance to join WWE’s inaugural Cruiserweight tournament, and now has signed an NXT-level deal, PWTorch learned Friday.

Ibushi wrestled at Thursday night’s NXT TV tapings to signal an increase in his involvement with WWE beyond the Cruiserweight tournament.

PWTorch also learned that Gran Metalik (Mascara Dorada in Mexico) has agreed to a deal with WWE following his successful debut in the Cruiserweight tournament.

Metalik (Dorada) has been a mainstay in CMLL for a decade and toured with New Japan in recent years. Metalik’s relationship with Finn Balor (formerly Prince Devitt in NJPW) brought Metalik to WWE.

– WWE also has several tournament wrestlers on their radar for potential signings.

Included are Zack Sabre, Jr., Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Akira Tozawa, and Jack Gallagher.

The signing process will likely take months and they would all finish their indie dates and/or other commitments before reporting to WWE’s Performance Center if the deals go through.

The overseas signings are especially complex and could take longer than the wrestlers that reside in the U.S.

Cool, good for them.

It's amazing that in the space between Survivor Series and WrestleMania, Roman Reigns became a three time world champion, with 118 days total as champion, which averages out as less than 40 days per reign, although, one of those lasted 5 minutes.

Exactly, Steiner was roids personified, three time world champion, and now owns his own Shoney's restaurant.
Respect to Scott for doing something productive outside of pro wrestling. Cool photo from the grand opening, though it may have already been posted here for all I know.

To me it harkens back to the Attitude Era when it seemed like they were playing hot potato with the WWF title.

The best part is, Steiner looks like Colonel Sanders.

That's what I was thinking, since the start of the year, the title has changed hands 4 times, Mick Foley was a three time champion with 47 days as champion

Although, there's still a ways to go before we get to WCW 2000 level

These were the WCW World Champions in 2000, I'm keeping "Vacant" in, just because it makes it funnier.

* That was the infamous Bash at the Beach match where Jarrett laid down for Hogan, and then Vince Russo vacated it, and then made the Booker/Jarrett match

In it's history, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was vacated 13 times, 9 of those times happened after October 1999

Like when Mideon "won" the European title because he found it in Shane McMahon's bag.

Didn't Benoit also win the belt right before he quit?

Yeah Russo got demoted and Kevin Sullivan got the book back around that time. Benoit thought he was getting away but it only delayed the inevitable.
