No, back then it was more about the novelty of the extreme neckbeard inner circle doing these things only for themselves, it really was much more of a secret society so these things were meant to be only for the secret handshake crowd

Theres even videos out there of Corny doing promos for hypodermic AIDS needle on a pole matches and other extreme stuff that he rants about now, he did those for @My Spot s homie JR Benson and Ron Hed, the guys that introduced him to Stacey and filmed the infamous Dairy Queen video

Those two and Stacey and her golden shower loving sister used to do shows out here in my town back in the mid 90's with gimmicks like Harley Racist vs The Child Molestor and other garbage like that
 
JR Bensons big claim to fame is that he used to snort real crystal meth in the ring during matches, he was beloved for it and something he was very proud of....

 
Looks like Nakamura is gone now too. Not too shocking, but a slight bummer. Was always entertaining, and could still go well at 45, but is still understandable to let him go.

Guy still had the best career of a male Japanese wrestler (minus Yoko of course) by a huge margin. Never won the big one, but still wrestled for it on Mania, and several other times, held multiple belts, and had the best theme song in forever.

Hopefully he still will just be surfing and banging rats.
 
He also once blocked busy Friday night San Francisco traffic so he could lay down right there in the middle of a 4 way stop on Market Street and get a golden shower form Corny's fat wife's sister during a wrestling match
