That had to be a rib

Look, I'm all for unfiltered expression and stripped down bare bones unpolished production that allows the life experiences of the person singing the song to come through fully and rip your guts out but theres limits to that shit!
There is no reason this vapid Hollywood empty vessel Jake Paul of a musician needs to show us that there is literally nothing about him that isnt surface deep, we get it, we know who you are already, theres nothing interesting in there so Auto Tune that shit up, G!

I’m glad KO tossed him like a sack of shit!

@RollSonnenRoll @Based God not sure what to think of this one, shoddy looking Guy Ritchie knockoff leaning heavier into the comedic farce side, might be alright, might suck ass

Yeah not sure about that one. The gimmick might be too much. Cool cast though.

Also it ain't no Bill Duke directed classic starring a young Larry Fishburne!

@Based God its a trip listening to that Deep Cover song right now, that does not sound like a Dr Dre beat at all, its way too bass heavy and basic for him, none of the melodic harmony that he would become known for, sounds more like a Brotha Lynch Hung track from Season Of The Siccness or Set Rip'n Blocstyle, maybe thats why Dre wanted to call his company Black Market Records

Actually, I wonder if that beat was a throwaway from the 100 Miles N Runnin/Efil4zaggin era cause I could definitely see it fitting in there

Yeah it's one of the hardest beats of all time, definitely doesn't fit in with G-Funk Dr. Dre's catalog.

Dr. Dre has been known to be a "player/coach" to a team of producers. Wonder if the beat was a concept by someone on his team at the time.

The Big Pun and Fat Joe version that came out in 98 also slapped.

@Based God I been bumping the Gridlock'd soundtrack lately, it was largely unnoticed at the time cause it was released right after Tupac's death as Death Row Records was starting to fall apart but its got two of my favorite Death Row songs of all time on it

The new MCU movie, Thunderbolts, is getting good reviews, may try and see if the times work out so I can do a double dipper with Sinners in the next few days cause I am officially fully piqued on that one

The trailers look fun. Classic ragtag group thrown together for an adventure story
Going on Friday. Already got my tickets.

That movie gave me anxiety back in the day, shit was way too real <lmao>

That scene when they stabbed each other with that tiny pocket knife to try and get admitted was brutal lol

These race swapping remakes need to stop.

This is better than the Above The Rim soundtrack imo.

Gang Related was a banger soundtrack too.

“Dead in the middle of Little Italy….” is still the hardest bars to this day.
