I'm not even mad about that finish. It's one of the few matches that Gunther hasn't won clean, and it sets up Jimmy vs Jey for WM.
Finish grew on me after Jimmy stay and whooped on Jey and pointed at WM sign and shit. Finally these two got a feud and a date. That’s GOOD WM undercard level shit, and I like it.

I’d like to see them in an anything goes match. Piper v golddust kinda match. Pat on FaceTime as Jimmy drives over Jey

I'd like to be hyped about Jimmy vs Jey, but right now it should be a Jey squash in 5 minutes considering how weak they've booked Jimmy.

I remember when Sky Sports used to show WWE Classics. Stuff from the Early 80s, so this was in the days of "Karate Master" gimmick. I thought it was a terrible gimmick and I wasn't even aware of his actual gimmick then. So I can only imagine the reaction to people who remembered it at the time.

Jey had a breakout year, meanwhile Jimmy showed the depth of his character flaws, insecurities and delusions, specifically serving the purpose of erasing the image of him and Jey being of the same energies and integrities. The narrative of twins turning on each other is significant.

Knowing all that ground work has been laid and Jey has established himself, this is the window for Jimmy to catch up and become the villain he needs to be. Don’t forget “Main Event” played a hapless jobbing goon for Roman forever before his job as Romans personal attack dog started getting him ahead. Was always a purpose to the storyline, and I’ll never forget Jey slamming Kevin Owens head in the elimination chamber door and brutally eliminating him that year. I distinctly remember thinking “oh, this is new”. Now it’s Jimmys turn to get some wins and build something new.

One thing they could do with Jimmy could be have Jimmy get "Daniel Bryan'd" at Mania.

They hype up Jimmy vs. Jey as this blood feud, a fight between brothers. But then the bell rings BANG!! Superkick, Jey covers and wins. Beats The Rock's record to really rub it in, like 4 seconds, and use this as him basically being the heel version of Jey. Jey, away from the Bloodline, comes out of his shell, actually strikes out on his own, and becomes better because he's doing things his way.

With Jimmy, the loss kind of sends him crazy. Not only does he lose to his brother and become the Janetty, he also loses so quick, The Rock loses his "Fastest Mania Win" record. Because of this, he's basically filling the Sami role in The Bloodline at this point, where he's an "Associate", and not a member. And because of this, he becomes much more vicious. Maybe have him not outright "winning" matches, but getting disqualified because he's going nuts in his matches, and even though he's destroying guys he's not actually racking up wins, he's not allowed back in because he's still losing, which then sends him even more crazy and just becomes this brutal, vicious heel, so then he can have a rematch against Jey at the next Mania.

Not how I would personally book it, but I would happily watch that entire story unfold.

How is is that Roddy Piper?

Crazy.
