It´s hard to put yourself into another man´s shoes, but I am pretty sure if I´m responsible for giving someone a stroke and cost him millions, if I was in Goldberg´s position I would at least make sure to give Bret a % of one of those Saudi cheques. We all know damn well Bret would be getting millions from those Saudi marks just to have a stinker like the one at WM 26.
Then why haven't the Saudis paid him millions just to appear and cut a promo like they did with Hogan?

@My Spot
I met up with 5 different people I met in the 605 wrestling group, I'm officially a smart mark insider like Beau James
One of em wouldn't stop telling me about his awesome Corny merch collection, I just politely smiled and congratulated him, I'm also officially an internet tough guy

Was it yellowdog? :eek:

The Goldberg kick is one thing, everyone throws live rounds. But not holding on to bret when he went to do the figure four on the post is pure negligence

We don’t know if or what kind of overtures there were for bret. The relationship with wwe is still tenuous at best. And to fonx point if bret were more physically capable it wouldn’t be surprising if they would want to see hart wrestle.

and Saudi aside, Goldberg cost hart millions. This isn’t really questionable.

Guess Bret shouldn't have had those hardcore matches with Terry Funk afterwards.

You’re absolutely right which is why the protocols are different today. Doesn’t change the fact that Goldberg derailed Bret’s career from being outright negligent.

Guess Bret should've cared about saving his parents' house.

"Goldberg kicked me too hard, gave my head an owwy" - Bret Hart

"LOL, I'm gonna smack Terry Funk in the head with this steel chair in this Hardcore Match" - Also Bret Hart.

How was Goldberg negligent?
I dont know anything about this story cause I never gave a fat rats patoot about Bret Harts overrated ass but I just read Brets account of it from his book and it sounds like it was a simple miscommunication

“I fired [Goldberg] into the ropes, and as he reversed me, I heard him call, ‘Watch the kick!’

“I had no idea what kind of a kick he meant, and there wasn’t much room coming off the ropes. Goldberg’s right foot flew just under my right hand, WHAAAAM!”

“I’ve always had a lot of respect for Bill. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, and what happened- it was just part of the job. I do wish he had been a little bit more careful, but we’ve always been friends over the years.”

Where was the negligence?
