I read to raise the temperature so I have his red basking light on to get his enclosure up to 85. I'm going to give him a warm soak right now.

Hope he pulls through man. Play the Rocky montages to pump him up.

Saw Thor last night, Christian Bale deserves so much better than that
I think at this point I think I need to admit to myself that the Phase 3 amazing high quality level MCU I knew and loved is done and quit watching these new movies hoping they find their magic again
I am devastated

I was pretty disappointed when I first heard the news that Christian Bale’s return to the comic movies would be as a villain in a Thor movie. He needs a bigger role than that. I can’t say I was just crazy excited for this movie but hearing this and Bat’s review has me very underwhelmed

He was amazing and his scenes were mostly amazing, everything else sucked
If the movie wouldve kept the serious intense tone it had in Bales scenes throughout the whole film, instead of switching back and forth between silly goofball mostly unfunny comedy, it woulda been so much better
They tried to recreate the charm and magic of Ragnarok and failed miserably

At the end of the day though he’s still a battle hardened Viking Norse god that needs to be treated seriously and kick ass. Ragnarok was exactly that. Endgame pushed it with the fat Thor humor but they still had it to some degree

I hated everything about Endgame the moment I saw it, now I ssee it was even worse than i thought, that wass the beginning of the end...

It still triggers me when I think of the way they just magically explained away The Hulks major crisis, "Oh, Im better now"
Fuck you and fuck that!

And then in this movie

you get the exact same bullshit with Jane Foster
She just goes to look at the busted up hammer and then boom next thing we know shes Thor flying around fighting fighting evil doers
No transformation stoory, no training montage, no nothing, just "Oh, Im better now"

I think it's a combination of them having to have Superhero movies be quippy, jokey movies, and Taika Waititi disappearing up his own arse where now everything has to have the funny, jokey, quippy stuff in it, and any time there has to be a moment of seriousness, he has to rush passed it ASAFP and get back to the quips and the jokes and "Isn't this all very funny".

I’m pretty damn excited for this one. If we can get this, Izzy/Pereira, Chimaev and somebody, Bones’ HW debut and Conor’s return in the next 6-8 months then the human cockfighting business could be back on the upswing
