lol at this troll thread

I’m sure criticizing JT in Canada doesn’t get you shot in the street like a dog

What they have in common is the are Eskimo Brothers with Melania.

Obviously Trudeau.
Funny that people in this thread call Canada a shithole or are afraid of Canada being ruined, then propose the leader of Russia should take over as a course correction.
What exactly do you big brains think is the standard of living in Russia compared to Canada?
What was it before Putin?

Imagine choosing a dictator that attempts to kill his opponents and when that doesn’t work, lock them up. Maybe I have the order mixed up. Canada is one of the best countries in the world to live, doubt Russia is anywhere near the top. Only on sherfront does Putin win this poll. Hilarious.

I love Putin because he kills people.

It's kind of an interesting debate though. Compared to Russia just after the fall of the Soviet Union (and probably the last years leading up to it), I simply cannot imagine russians being worse off today.
But when a governmental organization of that size, with that amount of totalitarian control, collapses, it is unavoidable that there will be period of chaos stretching across at least a couple of years. No leader could prevent that.
I wonder who is really responsible for Russia improving since 1989 (last couple of years of stagnation notwithstanding).
Putin, being in charge during the basically concurrent economic upswing of 1999-present? Or Yeltsin, for reorganizing the nation post-collapse and setting the stage for the economy getting back on track? Or has neither had any impact, and the economy was bound to improve regardless?

Jesus this is way worse than stabber or shot. It’s getting donkey punch assraped vs having someone drain your entire life savings. Bravo, TS, and go fuck yourself.

They were the second leading world power. Unless of course you want to drop the bar as low as possible and it was a bankrupt country. I guess if you compare him to Stalin he hasn't really had that many people killed.... <mma4>

It's hard to say things weren't bound to improve after the country literally collapsed. I don't think Yeltsin was so great but Putin was there behind the scenes plotting his iron grip on the country since then.

Putin rides fucking bears shirtless and is a Judo Master. He also never wore Black Face or got his face punched in.

Yeah but that doesn't tell me much about the standard of living for the average person. Have you ever lived there?

Anyone who would pick a dictator that poloniums and window-falls any opposition/critical journalists over the most benign, idiotic face of corporate liberalism is a moron.
It isn't just that he's a dictator, but that he is killing his country. Corruption is rampant, he has driven out most of the middle class, the Russian economy is in a terrible state.

People in this thread don't seem to realize that the Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago and that we are not living in 2005 anymore. The economy isn't good anymore. Yeah, Russia is stable... for now. And then when Putin dies it is going to become chaos again, just like the 90s.

Russia is a country with awful demographics (at least for the ethnic Russians) and Putin will go down in history as the man that lead his people off of a cliff.

And then in 30 years, everyone will look back and say how obvious it was, and how terrible Putin was. But it seems like nobody is actually noticing this in real time. At least his propaganda is excellent.

You realize our discussion is about if average russians life has gotten better under putin or not?Because thats how it started.

But i can answer your question since you asked

Nope dictators should be avoided
It got better under Putin. It also got worse since the mid 2010s when his actions led to the country being sanctioned off, and a decline in the Chinese commodity boom.

I've firmly drifted to the right in the last few years and here are my thoughts: Russia and Canada are not an apples for apples comparison but Putin is bleeding Russia out permanently, while Trudeau is embarrassing Canada until he gets voted out.

Obviously, Putin is my choice.
Trudeau will not get voted out cause he continues to bring in people who will vote for him. And yes he embarasses us daily.

It should tell you something about Putin's leadership ability that he has been able to last as leader of Russia for so long. Trudeau is so pathetic he wouldn't last a week. Trudeau's short term would end with a bayonet up his ass and his head being kicked down the street like a soccer ball.

Yep, it's his "leadership" and not the fact that he poisons political opposition...

Sherdog truly is a cesspool of morons

Putin is a cold, calculated despot who murders his political opponents, controls the media, is in cahoots with all the powerful and rich men in his country, and the standard of living of the average person living in Russia is absolutely awful, income inequality is through the root, yet they still like him (proof of the efficacy of his brainwashing). If you put Putin as head of your country, you may never be able to get him out of there. Trudeau is the obvious choice, not because you have to like him but because he's a relatively normal human being that's open to constructive criticism and is far less likely to cause irreparable damage.
I had to scroll wayyy too far through a bunch of "UNGA BUNGA me like big strong man! Me no want girly man lead tribe!" Style posts.

Yea Trudeau is a moronic puppet but he's not seizing power and crippling an entire democracy.

Trudeau is crippling an entire country through virtue signalling, pissing away money on countries outside of Canada and forcing countless taxes on the population. He has done nothing but make Canada worse. At least Putin would stomp out the leftist ideology plaguing Canada, swiftly put an end the reserve system, severely punish criminals and likely get the pipelines going. Canada needs a leader who will cut through the bullshit and rule with an iron fist. We don't need a limp-wristed, spoiled-brat who hasn't done anything useful since he got into power.

This would look better written in crayon.

Where do you live? They waited in line for toilet paper and then they were bankrupt before Putin took power. Don't you think that's setting the bar pretty low?
