I think some people are missing the point of this thread. Canada doesn't function like Russia so how would a ruthless dictator fair in a western democracy. Not would you like your country to turn into Russia. Obviously not. Putin is a ruthless and extremely intelligent individual. Trudeau not so much.

Maybe when everyone is on line waiting to buy toilet paper. Compared to the living standards of people in Western countries are most better off now with dictators like Putin and Xi?

They're on the lowest rung of intelligence... people like that in Russia, they earn $200 a month and eat out of dumpsters, brains pickled with alcohol and state sponsored media. Canada greater GDP with 1/3 the population and they'd still be telling us how they're better off with daddy Putin lording over them.

It isn’t about being better off. It’s about making sure the people they hate are worse off. They’re ghouls driven entirely by spite.
