Pro's Pick Khabib vs Conor (SHOCKING!)

Conor was supposed to beat Diaz. He lost. He was then supposed to lose to Diaz. He won. He lost to Floyd in boxing in a completely different sport, but still completely proved everyone wrong and completely defied logic.

Conor is undefeated in MMA, the sport he competes in when he is doubted. That is just fact. I can't express to you what kind of danger Khabib has gotten himself in. You will just have to wait and see.

Conor did not completely defy logic in the Floyd fight man. WTF? He did do pretty damn well but NOTHING like logic defying..... I was not surprised by that fight. The Diaz fight was an ass whooping and nothing about that fight or the second fight was remarkable in any way to me.

If you need magic visualization powers to beat smoking pot off the boat food poisoning Cabo Nate and you lose to that guy then either your super powers are bullshit and you are just a good fighter or you are not a good fighter and needed superpowers in order to lose well.

Conor did not reinvent boxing or bring a fist fight to the boxing ring or really do anything but prove he can strike- something we already knew.

Undefeated? In MMA?

Loool, "wins some, loses some" = 9-1 in the UFC and first double champ.

But keep on blindly hatin'!

Not hating on anything man. Nice try though. Mystic Mac isn't so mystical is all Im saying. I don't deny he is a good human fighter. A mystic he is not, a God he is not, and the GOAT he is not.

Mendes and Diaz were on vacation when they got a phone call to fight Conor. Nobody expected an out of shape Diaz choking out Conor. The UFC must have had sleepless nights over this. After getting carried by the UFC with earlier easy match ups in the FW division, he finally got to face Aldo. Conor KO'ed Aldo within 13 seconds. A huge fluke. Then he was allowed to skip the entire LW division to fight Alvarez skipping all fighters in that division with a better record and win streak than him. He would have never been close to a LW title if he had fought LW contenders other than the than current champ, Alvarez... who wanted to showboat and stand up with a striker instead of taking him down.

I'm not saying that Conor is a nobody. But he was helped allot and also had huge luck in his career on crucial moments ( vs Aldo). Sometimes you need luck and this luck on crucial moments changed Conor's entire life being the marketable UFC cash cow he is now. But he is about to get exposed big time very soon.

You might be right mate, however I imagine you'll be getting lots of tags if Khabib gets dropped and finished early. Again I don't buy the fluke argument with Aldo he talked too much about that exact combination for me to regard it as a fluke, and I think there's been a revisionist take on Alvarez considering pre-fight there was a lot of talk of him beating Conor, if not being competitive at the very least. Conor rose to the occasion.

Remember he was lined up to fight RDA prior to the Diaz fight are you suggesting RDA would have been an easy match up for McGregor too? Equally I think outside of Tony and Khabib and perhaps Kevin Lee who I'm a fan of, Conor would be a favorite against anyone else in the division. I think he beats Tony as well to be honest, Tony's very hittable. Khabib is his toughest match up. If Conor wins can we expect to see you here admitting it was Khabib with his padded record who was the one exposed?

Uhhh pretty much any striker is a favorable matchup for an elite striker with longer reach, or guys who had no training camps and came off the couch.

It's conventional knowledge that elite wrestlers are the toughest matchups for strikers stylistically,
You could well prove to be right but I have a feeling you've underestimated Conor before. Be honest did you expect him to beat Aldo, Diaz the second time and Alvarez? Was a lot of pre-fight talk about Alvarez grinding Conor against the cage like he did to Pettis. The crux of this fight for me is whether Khabib has a solid chin and whether Conor can find it before he's exhausted from either getting taken down or repeatedly having to defend the takedown.

With the sheer amount of posts you have on here about Conor, if he wins I'm guessing this account goes silent for a while?

Ban OP if I made this thread it would be wasteland fuckin biased mods

I wish I could see who moved threads to wasteland and who’s responsible for unfair bans/cards.

I think @Jackonfire and @Arkridge are cool mods though.

There are some shitty mods I wouldn’t mind punching in the face, but pretty sure he’s one of the good guys.

Just my experience.

This is the way I see it, too. It has been a combination of skill, luck, favourable match-ups and size/reach advantage. If Conor was really the phenom his fans believe him to be, he would have (for example) demolished Nate twice. I don't know why people don't take the awful performances against Diaz as strong evidence against his greatness, and the role Conor's size and reach advantage have had in his success.

Prior to Aldo and Alvarez, most people were indeed underestimating how dangerous Conor was on the feet. But we are at a different stage in the game now. Conor's future opponents will not underestimate his striking ... and he will be facing larger opponents in LW. This will mean an end to his success.

Jose Aldo - "You retards will see!"

conor has been away from the sport for a long time and had some life changing moments, I hope he can return in top form and knock out the beebers. The sport needs Conor, it's unbearable watching this crap without him.

Just looks like people wearing the hats.. Don't think that means there is a prediction.. Ban for misleading thread title.

Khabib the Good Guy vs Conor the Villain.

I'd don the Papakha too.

I just cant count Conor out anymore. I cant pick a winner here.
