But the fact that you could go to prison is part of your input.

So you're faced with a decision. Rob a bank or don't rob a bank

Your meat computer calculates these options, factoring in the strong possibility of going to prison, and makes a decision.

Plus you still have to put people in jail when they rob banks even if it's not their fault. Because they'll never stop robbing banks. Their meat computer sucks and will continue to make that decision over and over.

What type of loser do you have to be to not give yourself credit for your own life and self ?
 
The meat computer is keeping 50% of your behaviours as habits to save energy and effectively live. You can reprogram it and are aware. You got consciousness. The more you avoid easy things the weaker that part of your brain becomes. The more I go out and work hard for 2 hours the easier it gets for me. At first just going to the gym is a chore. Now I will happily go there and spend at least 2 hours and enjoy it. I will draw part of my energy from people looking and feeling like lazy weaklings while I sweat and do more in 5 minutes that they did in 20. It is my willpower, my props. You are actively looking for excuses for things you fucked up. It wasn't me it was my brain, doctor brainy on google told me he agrees.

But in addition to being kinda funny, I also find it fascinating.

I've long suspected that free will is a lie. That we are nothing but meat computers and when we get a specific input we produce a specific output.

But of course this is hard to test because every meat computer is made up of different meat, and cooked in different environments, so they will make different choices.

But in this video you have twins that are made up of the same DNA and raised in the same environment. And they experienced a traumatic event involving a gunman attacking their mother. That is the input.

And when they describe the event, that is the output. And you can see that they are "choosing" the same exact words at the same exact times.

Which to me seems like strong evidence that if you have people with the same DNA, raised in the same environment, and you give them a choice, they will always choose the same option. Hence, no free will.

Can you get me the number to the meat computer factory please?

I have some parts which I would like to replace with newer ones with less or ideally NO damage on them. I'm open to upgrades and updates so long as they don't wipe any of the memory I have grown quite fond of.

The distribution of quantum measurments are also....

So basically the microscopic world is like looking into a casino machine. Deterministic on the inside, indeterministic on the outside.

But people think the world is indeterministic by the way this inexactness has been framed.
 
When a quantum system is isolated/not measured... guess what...

it evolves deterministically.

When observed/measured, the system is only predictable 50%, you can measure parts of something exact, but not the other part, or you measure the other part exact but lose exactness on the other one.

Its really weird but there is no free will in nature and our brains are part of nature.
 
We have free will. But there are people and groups out there doing their darndest to pull our strings and influence our will. The globalists and chaos creators are real. As are the major companies trying to sell us goods and services.
 
I agree, at the end we are just slaves to dopamine.

Can you really do any activity that gives you zero dopamine either short or long term for an extended period of time? Stuff like forcing yourself to go to the gym doesnt count, you are just delaying the dopamine release.

I don't think these twins prove anything of the sort. They aren't even in perfect tune.
 
I've never really understood how anyone that's mentally ill or has ever known a person that was, could believe in free will. Like yeah that guy talking to a tree in the park because he thinks it's Jesus seems to have a lot of agency.
 
Free will is and will always be and nothing can change that. But outside sources can manipulate us with senses, brainwashing, with informations and all of that causes senses in our system and because we are very low consciousness we react on those senses, but free will is still there, but because of our low awareness we don't know much and we think those senses are our nature. And then you have much smarter and stronger person (especially real deal yogis) who are far more aware and knows those sense comes from outside but it is them who recognize and overpowers those senses, informations etc... and can think from their own heart and mind, because they resist occupation of outside world. We are mostly occupied by dirty senses because in this moment the world is not a good place and nonstop manipulations... it has come so far that as i see more and more starts to believe there is no free will (another manipulation to makes us further slaves).

He never was friends with him though. Willy was smart enough to use the kid to get his freedom to return to the ocean that he was imprisoned from due to horrific whale war crimes Willy committed before he was betrayed. Once free, he is able to get his vengeance.
 
We don’t have free will. But it doesn’t matter because we have the illusion of free will, and that’s good enough to me.
