Elections Project 2025 major right wing groups plan on creating a new super super pack

how would they put him above the law and constitution? which hires will do that?
He’s already largely been put above the law. Apparently any POTUS is, although of course not any POTUS will exercise that vast power. Trump clearly is one who will.

It’s not that a specific hire or hires put him above the law and Constitution. The Constitution sets out 3 co-equal branches of government. By having the ability to fire and appoint vast numbers of people in the Executive Branch without congressional oversight or approval, they’re already subverting that. The entire policy plan of Project 2025 consists of accomplishing what used to be legislative goals with unprecedented executive power and actions instead of legislative ones. That by definition totally perverts the system of government our Founders set forth in the Constitution.

I will have to read on this.

Understandable, and you def should.
I’ll give you a quick example. A federal abortion ban is a thing Congress has to pass. It would have to pass both houses, Pres would have to sign it, etc. It ain’t always easy to pass laws here.
But what if you do this:
directing Dept of HHS to no longer consider abortion as healthcare, exempting Planned Parenthood and similar agencies from Medicaid or federal grant money, issue directives that prohibit pharmacies from distributing abortion medication or emergency contraception, and so forth.
They have a bunch more directives I didn’t list. The end result is essentially a federal abortion ban—but not passed through Congress like a republic would, but through strong executive power like a dictatorship would. That’s my concern.

Doing what exactly ?

Smoking crack.

Morals? Do you honestly care about a politician’s morals? What a grown son also does is independent from his father (as far as drug usage is concerned anyways)

He was using his father's position to influence pedaling. The question is how much Biden knew.

It does make some of us feel better that ‘conservatives’ and the conservative movement is not at all based on smaller government, less government spending, less executive branch authority, etc. which they claimed for years to be about

Depends where the less or more is at and what about.

Why did trump sign a law in 2019 requiring someone to be 21 to buy tobacco and why did his fda ban and block all kinds of vaping flavors ? This is big conservative/nanny state government at its finest …..

So you disagree with this. All this proves is he is not far right like the left is crying about.

What the fuck are you actually on about.

We have plenty of pictures showing Joe and Jill's crack baby.
What has that got to do with my post shoving your lie that Trump made nothing while in office right back up your arse where it came from? Absolutely nothing, that's what.

You might want to cut back on the edibles.

i was in the midst of replying to you @BFoe but I’m in the hospital celebrating the birth of my second son.

Let me just say, it’s not possible. I’ll account bet you that if Trump wins, he won’t fire 50,000 people and rehire 50,000 people loyal to him.
Congratulations, man. Best wishes to your and your (newly expanded) fam!

Respectfully, your bet proposal completely misses the point, and doesn’t address what I did say in my previous post.

Congratulations, bro! All the best to your family. :)

I don't think it's equal on paper or in theory. To me, Congress is by far the most powerful branch of the federal government. If it is in unified majority lockstep, that is. The reality is that it's often in political gridlock in practice. And that same gridlock is what is most chiefly responsible for so much power being de facto transferred and yielded to the Supreme Court, which has essentially been legislating from the bench. It's also a powerful tool in relation to another DJT Admin, actually. It's crazy because Congress doesn't have power to merely "check" the SCOTUS, it can castrate and fuck it over in more ways than you can shake a stick at -- but not as it is now in this political climate.
