Product brands you're "loyal" to?

good thread idea @Nameless Ghoul

There's definitely some brands that I never or very rarely differ from, but none for a really compelling reason other than routine I suppose. Just looking at things around my house...

Tide
Dawn Dish Soap
Zig Zag
Bounty Paper Towels
Charmin Toilet Paper
Apple
M-Audio
You must have some super sensitive ass cheeks for toilet paper loyalty. Whatever 2-ply is on sale for me.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it loyalty, but I definitely go back to brands that do right by me.

Toyota
Asus
EVGA
Ibanez
Ernie Ball
Peavey
Puma
Raja boxing

I was really loyal to Sony for many years. Then in 2006, I bought a tv, Blu Ray player and a computer and had problems with all of them. The tv has to be on for 10 minutes before the picture straightens out.

The Blu Ray player has to be updated every time I want to use it which involves downloading an update from Sony, burning it to a DVD and playing the DVD on the Blu Ray player.

The Vaio computer also required updates from Sony but when I entered the model and serial number, they say it doesn't exist. I sent them pictures of the label and the invoice and they claimed that whoever I purchased it from must have changed the number. I bought it directly from Sony. You have to pay to call them then all you get is somebody in India who tells you the same thing that you get on the website.

Those were the last Sony products I bought or ever will buy.
Those were dark days we don't talk of, in this house.

Old Spice is the only company where I will actively look up their advertisements to watch

I’m loyal to makers mark...

Unless Jameson is on sale.

Bennetton, Volcom, A&P, CTRL. It's a weird impulse thing.

From the Walkman to minidisc, PS to PS4, TVs, Amp, speakers, head units and now phones.

Usually it's just a good standard of quality. Phones were shit a few years back but they've sorted that now thank goodness.

I can't comment on PS3/4 but I swore off Sony and their shit tier proprietary idiocracy. The last Sony item I bought ( and it was the last straw) was the first HD digital handheld camera for consumers. It was $1300(?) in 2003. The tapes were priopriatry microDV, the memory stick was some fucktard SONY proprietary format as well. No worries - I thought - it's got firewire out to MPEG2, It's all good. Then i went to connect to a computer -- nothing. Then connected it to a DVD recorder -- nothing. So I'm thinking, "what am I doing wrong?". I wasn't doing anything wrong. The MPEG2 wasn't really MPEG2 it was a SONY proprietary MPEG2v format that was only understandble by one piece of software. WHat??? I got the software (Pinnacle 8) and I still have the camera and the 8 microDV tapes that exist in the world.

THere's a loser in this story, and it's me. Never again will I buy SONY anything.

ESAL Sony.

I have many older Sony products that work great. Even the tv that has to warm up has a great picture once everything gets warm but their lousy service lost them a customer.

FTFY....

Other than that, throw in some Jameson whiskey and I concour.
Well, to each their own. I don't like the open thumbhole and I'm from Oregon so to rock something other than BM or ZT would be a little off to me. I have one Spyderco.

I did forget to list Persol. Got a bunch of RayBans too, but Persol Steve McQueens are my shit.

Samsung phones
Fender guitars
Nord keyboards
Hiwatt amplifiers
Rolex watches
American Apparel t-shirts
Adidas lifting shoes
Tatami fight gear
Taurus firearms

Izod. I always have a few WHITE Izod polo on hand.

!!!!!

I almost Bought an FZ1 recently but ended up buy my 06 CBR1000RR. It was a 2013 with 1500 miles on it for $4200.00. Paid $4500 for the older CBR with 7000 miles. I don't like the bare motor myself, but the bars were more streetable and the price was so cheap. May still get one as I feel the 1000 may end up being my track only bike.

Last Yamaha my buddy had burned oil to the tune of 1/2 quart per 300 miles.

Yamaha said it was within acceptable spec! One of these:

My buddy ordered a Panigale V4. I give him about a week before he lays it down.

Playstation is the only thing I've been loyal too.

Everything else I have a preference, but I don't bitch if I have to use a competitor's product.

Dodge Ram trucks. And John Deere tractors. Just because they have been SOLID for me my whole life.

Yeah, they were dark days. All that's gone now though thankfully. I think the advent of the android operating system encouraged a more open format. The ps4 is effectively just a PC in structure.

That said I cannot comment on cameras, last one I owned was 2000.

Well i am hard pressed to use anything other than Heinz ketchup. imo
