Pidcock removed from il Lombardia lineup. I suppose he is not riding for Ineos next season. Dont know who would be willing to pay millions for him to score Amstel Gold win.

He needs to go to a team like uno x

Sivakov looks like he is dying so Pog-attack imminent! Remco looking good as Leferve shouting "STAY ON POGS WHEEL" on his ear!

Pog teleports away! 10 second gap in 8 seconds, do the maths on that one!

No one even tried to follow, the second Pog attacked they started racing for second. sad!

It's pretty hard racing against a team of top riders who have a finish line at 48k to go. that's pretty much what was written on Evenepoel's face when Pogacar attacked.

It was difficult to see how Pogacar could could be beaten at Lombardia and, well, it all went to the script.

I cannot fault the tactics. Teams got 25 riders up the road and made UAE chase hard for most of the day. I don't recall any moron teams helping UAE out at the front. It just so happened that UAE was up for the challenge.

Nobody outside of Vingegaard can go with Pogacar on a climb that big. Not much to be done. Remco was smart to ride conservatively on the climb and then use his time trailing prowess to get second.

Congratulations to Pogacar. A season for the ages.

Collusion between big named riders going in large early breaks forcing UAE to burn all of their riders with 100k to go. But that's such an unlikely scenario in pro cycling.

It's insane that Pog only needs the front of the race under control until 50k to go. That in of itself creates a monumental task for everyone else.

Vingagaard only looks like he can beat Pog when he has Roglic and a WvA that is dropping Pog on climbs. That's probably unlikely to happen again.

Vingagaard cannot be too excited about the off-season prep. He's paid to beat Pogacar and that doesn't look likely to happen again unless they have 'whatever' they had cooking in 2023.

Counterpoint: Vingagaard has faced Pogacar 4 times in the TdF and he is 2-2. Not bad. Vingagaard was fortunate to even ride the TdF this year. In addition to his significant injuries, the Visma team was weakened by a string of bad luck.

If I was Vingagaard going into the off-season, I would think that I did pretty well at the TdF considering it was a minor miracle that I started the race at all. Visma will probably be much stronger next year. All he needs is better luck.

Personally I favour Pogacar. It is still easy enough to understand why Vingagaard would be optimistic

I understand the positive angle for Vingagaard but his team was laying the boots to UAE in 2022 and 2023. You had WvA dropping Pogacar on climbs. Whatever they had going on is clearly not in play in 2024.

Vingagaard might have the 'cup half full' view going into the off-season but having ridden for Dutch teams I can tell you they are not big on optimism.
- he'll never have a WvA, like he had in 2022 and 2023, again.
- Van Baarle could be back and that is a big engine to control the race but Dylan may be thinking more about 1 day races in the spring.
- while Tratnik is diesel, UAE have several riders of similar quality
- no more Roglic. You'll laugh because he crashed so much but he was a real threat that Pogacar had to watch.
- Kuss is now wondering whether he should save himself for Vueltas and Giros, and not blowing it all on support at the TdF.
- LaPorte is not a threat in long mountain stages and I bet he is thinking about spring classics.
- Jonas is 2 yrs older than Pogacar

I doubt Visma is heading into the winter thinking, "hot-damn, I can't wait for 2025!!'.

Van Eeetvelt wins Gaungix tour and finishes the world tour for this season. Off season until end of january when world tour racing returns at Tour Down Under.

Yates the Lesser in for the Visma squad and Tratnik is off to RB Bora.

In for the UAE is GIGA TALENT Pablo Torres, Narvaez whos signing I dont quite get, Herregodts and lastly Vermeersch who I think will be the key big boi bully and maybe the real MVP for this season Nils Politt can rest a bit more. Politt was such a god damn miracle signing, damn.

Pidcock to stay in Ineos after all lol. I wonder when will that Ineos dude get bored of cycling and just dump the team.

INEOS is in a tough spot. There are 3 guys that can win races. Everyone else is second tier.

Pidcock has thlo pic races that Pogacar, Remco and MvdP are not at.

GTs are probably out unless he shoots for Giro or Vuelta podiums.

The big names in cycling may be hit hard in the wallet. Stars like Tadej Pogacar, Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, and Remco Evenepoel have huge contracts because of their performances, but the UCI wants to stop that. In addition, the Belgian Cycling Federation has made a decision.

Let the market decide what's their worth, you pinkos. Also this is why Tadej jumps between Monaco and San Marino. UAE will just throw more money at him.

Lord Pog to stay with UAE until the end of 2030 season.

Pog has scored more UCI points this season than some World Tour teams. Almost twice as much as Remco.

10 straight days for the 1st week because they wanted the riders to ride during a holiday(Bastille) where there will be more viewers.
