prime Lebron > prime Kobe

Kobe has 2 rings that he actually led the charge for. If they all count the same as long as you were an all-star caliber player, Pippen > Kobe.

Except for all the scoring titles and other accolades Kobe has won that Pippen didn't. But yea, Pippen was a bad MF'er.

Best post here.

Here's the answer:

Watching Kobe and the Lakers win so much brings lots of hatred and I'm not even joking, these guys have been FUELED from the past and it's hard for them to take.
LOL. I see.

PS: The same thing happens when talking about any sports. I guess that's human nature (defend what they feel is "theirs").

05-06 kobe is like 5 levels above lebron in terms of bball skill. anyone who has actually picked up a ball and played the game can tell you that. leRoids is just big and fast via juicing.

Lebron is the most talented player ever but when it comes to the greatest ever he has a ways to go. Talk to me at ring #4 and we'll revisit this. Right now he's firmly behind Kobe and MJ.

The warped opinions of Kobe fanboys are irrelevant.

he's not even close to the most talented player ever. what are his basketball talents? average handles, average jumpshot, below average footwork, below average post moves. he is a great passer for his size, has great vision, and is an amazing defender but that's about it. he would be a low tier journeyman without his athletic advantages.

Pretty true, it's already been proven in the NBA you don't need skills to dominate. Shaq and to a lesser degree (because he isn't nearly as good) and Dwight are other good examples.

Everyone wants their generation's talent to have been the best ever. It just doesn't work out that way kids. Sorry you missed Jordan, but you did, and he was the best.

I would take a prime LeBron over a prime Kobe, but I'd take Kobe's career over LeBrons's so far, and I'm willing to bet that he doesn't have as successful a career as Kobe has had when it's all said and done.

Avg handles?

You're like the seventh person to contact me. I swear, I'm gonna start up again and make a comeback, just watch.

lol what cans were trying to trade with you? Other than the obvious Palpacan?

Shaq had incredible back-to-the-basket footwork, some of the best touch at the rim, and a phenomenal knowledge of passing angles (and awareness of doubling defenders and open teammates in his blind side). He had a great baby hook (not a sky hook). He was even an underrated ballhandler. The only reason most don't know that is because he was too smart to try to do things he had teammates that could do better.

Opining that Shaq lacked skill is terribly ignorant. Was he as individually skilled as Hakeem, Kareem or Sabonis? Definitely not. But his skill set holds up to most of the other great big men of the sport.

If Kobe can force Lebron to take jumpers, Kobe all day but I do believe Lebron is just too big and strong for Kobe...anyhow, the last few minutes of the game showed the defensive prowess of Kobe with 2 blocks on Lebron's last two shots

Actually, I only contacted Jukai earlier in the season, a couple weeks in, to see if we can make a trade, think I wanted KG, but he told me that he was going to focus and see what he can do with his current roster, and see how it plays out.

Never heard from him again.

Howl offered me Patterson and Dunleavy for Dwight and Afflalo.

No way I'm giving up the defensive stud that is Arron Afflao for that weak ass package.
