Not hard to go undefeated for 10 years if you're periodically fighting cans and guys ranked outside the top 30. I believe Fedor beat only 5 different top 5 HWs in his 40+ fight career.

Nope.

During the Pride era, most of the top guys had to endure the occasional freakshow matches. It was a requisite during that time period and doesn’t diminish their accomplishments.

As for “it’s easy to go undefeated for 10 years” is baloney. I’ve lived and watched mma consistently through the 90’s and 2000’s and no one showed that level of consistency with their victories at the highest level other than Anderson Silva and even Anderson was submitted before he made his way to the UFC. Mma was still in its evolutionary phase during that period and anyone finding consistent success like that against a multitude of styles was unheard of.

Yeah hahahah, Fedor didn't go undefeated for a decade and 30 fights or anything ahahaha, he had no prime ahahaha.

You stupid casual lol.
Yeah dude, Fedor beats everyone in UFC nowadays, both HW and LHW.
Also count that in pride was fully roided policy haha.

But Fedor was not in his prime!

Oh wait, Hendo is older and had more fights.

Henderson was on trt ... How people forget lol. Fedor also had way more wear and tear than henderson due to fedor competing I'm combat sambo before entering mma.

Henderson competed in wrestling where no strikes are involved lol.

Thank you for confirming that Fedor is balls deep in your low IQ brain.

I see and respect your point. There just isn't any space in my brain that will ever compare Fedor's streak to Travis Fulton's streaks and I shouldn't have to explain why, that seems like an exaggerated point for the sake of your argument. Fedor going 3-1 and then 3-3 after 10 years and 30 fights is more than normal after that kind of mileage and it and shouldn't tarnish his legacy, but to each his own.

The Fulton reference is 100% relevant. He faced shit competition and has more fights than anybody, yet was able to match or beat Fedor's streak 3 times.

You're brushing off the fact that Fedor went 3-3 the FIRST time he fought 6 top 10 guys in a row. That's not some irrelevant tidbit when you're talking about how "legendary" his streak is. It's not so hard to put together a streak like that when less than 30% of your opponents are top 10. Like Fulton did 3 times. Plain and simple, bro.

Fedor nuthuggers help me out, what time period was his prime?

02-05. He had a tougher time finishing an older Coleman in the rematch when he ran through him in his prime. He still easily won but he was starting to slow.

Trainers were saying he wasnt taking training as seriously specially his grappling. He wasnt striking with the K1 beasts in Holland anymore. He also had closer calls in sambo by 07 and by 08 he stopped winning gold when he was untouchable in sambo in his prime

coincidentally thats when he started looking like a one dimensional head hunter in MMA too. His grappling was far from what it was and his striking technique wasnt sniffing his prime years when he was a nasty leg and body kicker, great counterstriker and setup clinch entires and strikes into his TDs as masterfully as anyone in MMA history

Fedor has nowhere near the frequency of cans on his record during his streak that Travis Fulton has. Guys like Heath Herring, Kosaka, Fujita, Arona, Sobral, Goodridge, and Schilt were all game. Travis Fulton has entire win streaks made up of opponents with either no wins EVER in their careers, guys that fought only twice, or guys that won 10% of their fights. Without even looking into it further than I already have, I'd bet you most of his opponents were pulled straight out of the crowd or never trained a day in their life.

As I admitted, you have a fair and respectable point about Fedor having guys on his record who aren't top guys, but seriously attempting to compare Fedor's caliber of opponents to Travis Fulton's might be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on Sherdog, and you and I have both been on here for quite a while.

List HWs who have a better resume. Go.

Claiming Hunt was not a top 10 win for Fedor, while he is one of Stipe's (for example) top 10 wins is hilarous, and moronic.

The guy meanwhile circlejerks Anderson's "prime" even though Anderson straight up lost to cans and has a massively padded record himself.

I love how UFC D riders are out trying to discredit (and failing again) Fedor. Zombie Nog won the ufc title, Timmy had the best ufc hw title reign until he was surpassed by geriatric only killer Stipe (who never beat a ranked opponent in their prime ever!), and an organization that surrendered its titles to pride, strike force, ksw, cage rage, wec and even WWE (brock hahaha) imports when their talent came over and currently has AA winning, and Chuck Liddells actual training partner from three decades ago as its number one ranked LHW hahhaha

Fedors reign ended in 2008 but he lives rent free in these guys head till today

This fedor?

Damn, never realised how Dirty Dan just went ham at the back of the head for this finish. I remember Fedor popped right back up too, crazy.

I would say he looked his scariest, his prime, from Nog-Cro Cop. But Werdum, Bigfoot, and Hendo all deserve a 5-star win on their resumes for beating him in 2010/11 when he was still good af and the best in the world.

I love Anderson too. I'm not sure that there's a single top guy that doesn't have a bunch of wins over opponents that weren't top shelf fighters.
