I'm not comparing their opponents and saying that they're equal. I'm using Fulton's three crazy ass win streaks as an example of how and why streaks like that are possible. Fulton has some guys in those streaks with fairly decent records, but the majority are shit. Saying Goodridge was "game" is a stretch. He was 17-13-1 going into the Fedor fight, and coming off a win over Lloyd Van Dams, who was 0-0 in MMA - making his debut. Arona was 2-0 when he fought Fedor. Somebody else listed all the atrocious records of the guys he fought during this "legendary" streak. It's sad. He should've been fighting top 5 guys for 8 out of those 10 years, and he barely fought top 10. It's ok. He's still a great fighter, no doubt, just take it for what it is. Don't be dishonest or exaggerate it. Cro Cop is my favorite fighter, and the dude has a resume full of garbage too. It is what it is, man.

A SD to Rashad who was 2 fights removed from fighting for the title.

The first of those 3 ko's occurred 2.5 years after Fedor and when Dan was 43. KO'd for the first time---at 43---by a a SAVAGE.
The Lombard fight ended in a violent KO win (as did the Shogun rematch) when he was 2 months shy of 46. Fedor's not even that old NOW and has been shit for over a decade.

Guy lost a disputed decision for the title at 46 and you think it was because he was off the magical, NSAC-approved TRT. FFS is he sipposed to be a champ-caliber fighter til he's 60???



Going 3-6 well into your 40s with losses to the likes of Belfort, Moose, DC, Rashad and a disputed loss for the belt is not indicative of his need for TRT.

Maybe he finally got old...


Maybe Fedor's just grossly overrated.

I would make Fedor a favorite against any HW MMA fighter ever in history. Would he beat them all 100% of the time? Probably not. But he would win more times than he'd lose.

And don't give me this shit how MMA has "evolved" since Fedor's days. Most of the current HWs are dudes who've trained for like 4 years and just go out there and throw bombs. Hell, 40 year old Reem (60 in fight years) was/is still top 10 and Fedor would wreck him.

Current UFC HW - You going to say these guys are more advanced that the likes of Fedor, CroCop, Nog, Sergei, Barnett? Even old timers like Igor and Randleman would do wel against today's HW.

If you look at the LHW division it’s worse. A 40 year old KSW has been is champ and the number one ranked guy was actually Chuck fucking Liddells training partner three decades ago!

lol - very true. I don't get it how so many sports evolved and athletes go so much better....NFL, NBA, etc. guys ....but with MMA for some reason some of the weight classes are worse off. Ricardo Arona would probably dominate the UFC LHW division. We'd all be bored watching him but still.
