Social PRIDE events where you live?

You should not take the hubby and pretend to be queer it'll help your sales. If u do take the hubby make sure he acts queer too.

It helps to be nice. About 15 years ago, I was a server at a restaurant and the head chef was amazingly gay. He had a crush on me so he was always giving me free shrimp, catfish, crawfish etc. Kind of related, if your looking to profit.

We have several events for that sort of thing a year in my city. Nothing ever happens. People peacock and dance about. People laugh, with and at them, and then it ends and they go home. I'm in the south too, and in a big gay(alternative lifestyle) area. Still, nothing ever goes awry at these things here.

Really depends on where you are at.

When we lived in Amsterdam he was hit on by guys quite frequently so I think he's a decent addition haha, he's got a proper ZZ Top thing going on now too.

I've always been pretty flamboyant in terms of getting on with everything gay whether it be music, TV, art, movies, so I know I won't look the part but personality wise I'm right there.

Awesome. Not FBIing but may I ask where in the south? Id've loved to've gone to PRIDE when I lived in Norfolk, Virginia. Happy times I'm sure.

Tampa Bay area of Florida.

We have several of these types of events per year, and never have protests or rallies. No major problems whatsoever. Not sure if is because we are just so used to it, or the cops doing a good job at crowd control. Either way, these things go off without a hitch for the most part.

I'm really hoping the same can be said for the event here. Already being doxxed by some retard posting my address because I'm selling things there is ridiculous. I know I live in a very red town but beyond silly when it comes to him threatening me.

Unfortunately, assholes are everywhere, and you will never fully be free of them.

Hope it does too, and that you all have a blast.

I'm guessing you are going to do well and have a good time. Considering how sassy you can be I'm sure the queen types will love ya. While I wouldn't buy those cookie cutters I do tend to collect them when I travel places and I see a lot of other people do it too so I expect you will get some business.

I don't really know what a pride event is like other than what photos and videos I've seen and I can tell like all other types of rallys that isn't my scene. Last thing on earth I want to do is be out in the sun with my fine Irish American skin surrounded by a bunch of loud strangers. The demolition derby/County fair out in the Stix is more my jam. I would totally win you a prize if I encountered you there. I play ring toss all day with my toddler and I'm expecting to win him his first prize later in the summer.
Honestly the county fairs can sometimes be as off-putting as pride parades.

Oh I know it. It's been a saying where I'm from for a while now that you want to go home when whatever show is over/ when the sun goes down. The whole vibe shifts.

The year that got the beer tent canceled for life was quite a nightmare. It felt like some kind of scene from children of men or 28 days later getting back to the car I was glad I had my weapon. Lotta random drunken brawling and shrieking and cops and sirens And people running all over. Shots fired somewhere . Not exactly the kind of date I like to take my wife on. I was kind of mad about it.

On the flip side everyone loves being right and the past 2 years before that happened on the drive home I told my wife some shit like that was going to play out and that I kinda wish they would ban the beer tent. Lol.

Maybe all old men think this way but I feel like you can't go anywhere anymore and not be sure some shit isn't going to go down and really do gotta do as big john says and protect yourself at all times. People seem like they are more on edge than ever and seriously quick to anger. I don't know stats. But I know in my personal life I see it more than I ever have.

You forgot the crabs he gave you.

I once mistakenly drove to San Francisco during the pride gimmick, it was a clusterfuck(literally and figuratively) trying to get around in that city during all that commotion, ended up just chilling in Fillmore til it started clearing out on Sunday evening, strangely enough, there wasnt much pride related events taking place in the ghetto

Nah I never did anything sexual with him. I also wasn't stupid enough to tell him I had 0 interest since he was giving me free seafood every day. If you give me free seafood every day I will be nice as fuck to you my boy.

Side note, I banged 3 girls who worked at that job. It caused a lot of problems. <lmao>

Oh shit, double side note, I was stealing alcohol after every shift and making mixed drinks to take home. The owners didn't notice because I was using a different liquor each time so it didn't add up.

Fuck that was a sweet job all things considered.

Lived in downtown Toronto. Never seen any issues but the city became a zoo and it was a weekend to gtfo town

I live in Edmonton where the pride events are a huge deal, biggest event of the year other than Oilers in the playoffs. Bigger than Christmas for sure and I have never heard of any incidents.

Have you seen any violence or backlash? Just let it play out with no regard?

I'm selling some wares at my local small town PRIDE event at the end of the month and people are already planning a protest even though it's in a general not kid park, and not parading the streets.

I'm not LGBTQ myself but a lot of what I'm selling is. Should I worry? Husband's going to be with me so physically I'm okay, my main worry is my mouth if someone says something hateful.
- Pride eventrs are prety calm here in SC. Only seen violence on the first one back in btw 2007/9. Now were getting a prety big homeles population, i am not talking about hobos, but actual criminals hidding btw the homeless, that increased crimes that never hapened here. Need to see how this will pam out this year.

The day I moved into my house here was SF Pride. I was in contact with Bay Area ABC 7 Newscaster Reggie Aqui over the years so was really looking forward to going and hanging out being he's all the way gay and great fun. I couldn't even stream it in the car on the way down. If the stars had somewhat aligned I'd've shifted moving by a week what with my hips being fixed and I could have been on my feet all day.
