With President Trump becoming increasingly unstable to even his most ardent supporters, some may wonder whether political opportunist extraordinaire JD Vance will soon attempt to remove Trump via the 25th Amendment of the Constitution. Springing forth from a couch cushion near you, JD could make a brazen play.

Consider the following scenarios occurring: US invading Greenland, economic panic, US military causing deaths in US cities, Epstein files get leaked, President's dementia becomes unavoidably obvious even to the most sycophantic obsequious buffoons (these are the cabinet secretaries, after all!! Trump made it hard on 'ol JD!!). Here's how the absolute chaos would start to ensue....:

The 25th Amendment Section 4:

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide…”

  • The Vice President is mandatory.
  • A majority of the principal officers of the executive departments (the 15 Cabinet secretaries) must agree.
  • Congress may create another body to substitute for the Cabinet, but never has

“…transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration…”

  • The declaration must be written.
  • It must be sent to both chambers’ leaders.
  • No court, doctor, or agency is required.
  • No evidentiary standard is specified.

“…that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”

  • The transfer is automatic and immediate.
  • No judicial review at this stage.
  • The President is not removed—only stripped of authority temporarily

“Thereafter, when the President transmits… his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office…”

  • The President can reclaim power by written declaration alone.
  • No approval needed—unless the VP + Cabinet push back again.
  • This would 100% happen LMAO!!!!

“…unless the Vice President and a majority… transmit within four days their written declaration that the President is unable…”

  • VP + Cabinet get 4 days to reaffirm inability.
  • If they do not, the President automatically regains power.

“Congress shall decide the issue…”

Congress must assemble within 48 hours if not in session.
  • Congress has 21 days to decide.

“…by two-thirds vote of both Houses…”
  • 2/3 of the House AND 2/3 of the Senate must agree the President is unable.
  • If they do → VP continues as Acting President.
  • If they don’t → President immediately resumes authority.

This is the highest threshold in the Constitution outside an alternative state amendment process. But, given this shit-show, I say it has a chance of occurring in the near future. 3 years seems like an absolute certainty.

JD needs to convince a majority (8) of these:

  1. Secretary of State – Marco Rubio
  2. Secretary of the Treasury – Scott Bessent
  3. Secretary of Defense – Pete Hegseth
  4. Attorney General (Justice) – Pam Bondi
  5. Secretary of the Interior – Doug Burgum
  6. Secretary of Agriculture – Brooke Rollins
  7. Secretary of Commerce – Howard Lutnick
  8. Secretary of Labor – Lori Chavez-DeRemer
  9. Secretary of Health and Human Services – Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
  10. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development – Scott Turner
  11. Secretary of Transportation – Sean Duffy
  12. Secretary of Energy – Chris Wright
  13. Secretary of Education – Linda McMahon
  14. Secretary of Veterans Affairs – Doug Collins
  15. Secretary of Homeland Security – Kristi Noem
Trump clearly does not trust Bondi, nor should he honestly. He doesn't trust Vance implicitly (this is the ONLY thing Trump is good at, because he has no shame, he surrounds himself with rats), thus his cabinet secretaries are all, above all else, LOYAL TO HIM PERSONALLY. JD must pierce the servile seemingly impenetrable veil in which Trump has cloaked himself. A challenge indeed!

Bondi seems not to be completely loyal. Hegseth is a lapdog. If you see Bondi, RFK, or others replaced in the near future my only thoughts will be because it's Trump closing the wagons in on the collapsing circus show.

Thoughts? (btw, after not creating a thread on here in 15+ years I can gladly say I'm glad for every second I did not. I couldn't see the text on this crap and then it deleted half the thread, egads! hopefully it is readable)

At some point, Guy Fieri will lose the running to some diddler purchased by a billionaire.

Trump's approval rating among Republicans in the most recent polls is like 84-89%, depending on which poll you look at. He's not going anywhere with numbers like those, unfortunately. The spineless lackeys Trump surrounds himself with are terrified of MAGA backlash hurting their own future in politics.

I like that you didn't even try defend him. "Just accept it" sort of like a rape.

In his limited defense, I do concede that the obviously chaotic shit-show must get demonstrably worse in at least one of those areas for there to be sufficient political opportunity for JD to attempt it. That said, I think it's distinctly possible in the next years given this start.

I mean if the dems can't get their shit together it'll probably happen in 2028 regardless
