Why would I keep trying to write those types of messages in the Premier League thread?

Every time that I do, someone like Da Speeit says, "Nobody cares about the clubs in United States of America!"

I think the VAR generally speaking is a good idea, but VAR is run by the same people that ruined games before it's invention...there's an actual ref sitting there who seriously watches that and thinks that it was a foul.

My statement stands, Portland was supposed to participate last year but the competition was cancelled due to COVID-19, which proves how meaningless it is in the grand scheme of things, the CONCACAF Champions League, the intercontinental tournament where results actually matter however, was just delayed.

You've allowed your personal connection with someone like Portland Timbers to cloud your judgment.

By the way, do you seriously think someone like TIMBERS could ever reach any Final of any tournament? That is to say, any Final of any tournament where there are clubs from México annihilating everyone?

The FACT of the matter is, the 2020 MLS Is Back Tournament is a glorified friendly tournament that means FUCK ALL (when you compare it to the glorious and presitigious LEAGUES CUP, that is).

Keep in mind that I had a wonderful time watching the 2020 MLS Is Back Tournament. That was the title that Timbers captured last year.

Furthermore, I'd love to remind you that I had a lot of fun watching the Final of 2015 MLS Cup. That was the title that Timbers captured in the year 2015.

The MLS is Back actually earned Timbers a place into a real tournament in the CONCACAF Champions League, which the Sounders did not qualify for thus taking a money-grab friendly tournament seriously.

The fact is, the clubs from México are the standard by which every single club in the entire CONTINENT has to measure itself by.

The clubs from México are in the Scotiabank Champions League, the Leagues Cup, and the Campeones Cup. Therefore, those competitions take precedent over any GLORIFIED FRIENDLY TOURNAMENT that you care about.

Single elimination micky mouse tournament where ALL the games are at home MLS venues doesn't prove anything for MLS > Liga MX if the teams can't even get the job done in Mexico. It means fuck all. I'd only attend if tickets were free.
