Newcastle are reportedly set to reward Nick Pope with a new contract that could be worth up to £100,000-a-week before bonuses, thanks to his impressive recent form.
The 30-year-old has been an instrumental part of the Magpies success this season, keeping 16 clean sheets in the 29 games he's started this season across all competitions.
And, according to the Sun, Newcastle 'will be' extending his current deal and will raise his current wage to bring his contract in line with many other top keepers around the league.
The newspaper reports that Pope's base salary is currently around £60,000-per-week, and with appearance money, clean sheet bonuses, and win bonuses his weekly wage totals out at around £100,000.
The Geordies are now looking to up his basic salary to £100,000-per-week before any add-ons have been included.
The shot-stopper's fine form also sees him top the Premier League Golden Glove tally, with 12 clean sheets in the year so far this season, pipping Arsenal 'keeper Aaron Ramsdale, who sits second on 11 clean sheets.
Will Pope be playing for England later this month?

Former Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle left Sunderland fans fuming after scoring a brace in Stoke City’s 5-1 victory at the Stadium of Light.
The 33-year-old joined the Potters on a free transfer last summer and had scored just one goal in 27 appearances before his return to the North East this afternoon.
Gayle increased his tally to two goals in 28 after netting twice in eight second-half minutes.
The Black Cats trailed 3-0 after goals from Josh Laurent and a brace by Tyrese Campbell before pulling one back through Alex Pritchard near the hour-mark.
But any hope from Pritchard’s goal was short-lived when Gayle struck twice to inflict humiliation on Newcastle’s bitter Tyne and Wear rivals.
And Gayle’s celebration to make it 4-1 left Magpies fans in stitches when he shushed the home crowd and rolled out a familiar celebration.
During United’s Championship title-winning campaign in 2016-17, fans sang about their promotion and Sunderland’s relegation from the top-flight.
“Sunderland’s going down and the Mags are going up” was the chant, and Gayle copied the exact arm movements from the terraces.
