Ah, the modern football fan.

He wasn’t van Basten last year and he’s not Freddie Adu now.

Fully expect him to settle into a 20-30 goals a season striker, whilst helping Liverpool challenge for major honours for the next few years, sadly.

Wirtz has far more questions hanging over him, imo.

This whole 007 nonsense which the children seem to love……apparently Ronaldo at United and Henry at Arsenal would have qualified, though I’m too lazy to confirm.

Also Messi had 1 goal in his first 7 games in La Liga (ok granted played 77 minutes in those 7 games).

Was a funny meme/banter for a moment but way past expiration at this point.

LaLiga match in United States a reward for fans , Says RFEF president.

@Kowboy On Sherdog
walking down a hallway and I saw a box of tools left that had “Bosch” on it. I shouted “Bosh!” by reflex and some guy who I didn’t know was around turned around like 🤔. Ffs 😭🤣

My dishwasher in the kitchen is actually by BOSCH <lol> Had a laugh yesterday when I looked at it after your post.

Any of those 3 recover their careers?

Yeah.

Honestly, even the WC tournament is basically a lottery between (at most) 10 teams. Play it 5 times you might well get 5 different winners.

Then the 9 teams that don't win spend months asking what went wrong. Will be "we shoulda played 433!" or "we needed to play Grealish instead of Bellingham" etc etc.

It's not that deep.....you didn't get lucky at the right time, you lost a penalty shoot out or your players were knackered.

Can be great fun, don't get me wrong, but the standard is way worse than the top club competitions.

Ok it seems like we disagree over this every year or so let's go again.

It's really not that random. One of the top 3-4 favorites always wins. Looking at the list of winners, I can't see a non-elite team in there. If you stretch it to finalists yeah, maybe. Croatia in 2018 and Germany in 2002 weren't truly great.

So less than a year from the next WC, the top teams are Spain, Argentina, England, and France and I'd be very surprised if the champion comes from outside that group. Brazil, Germany and maybe Portugal are in the next tier and I'd be absolutely shocked if the champion comes from outside these 7.

In other words, it can actually, truly come home next year. Kane da gawd is still in top form. Who gives a shit about the defense when you got so many weapons on offense?

2024

Real Madrid boycott Balon D’or because Vini Jr did not win. Real player of the year was Bellingham.

2025

La Liga president outraged Yamal did not win Balon D’or. La Liga player of the year was Raphina.

Suits are just as retarded as fans?

Look at Argentina last time. Lost to Saudi fucking Arabia in opening match. Would have been in big trouble if their group wasn’t so weak. Played 2 “name teams” in the knockouts and won them both on penalties.

Look at Croatia in the last 2 tournaments. Final and semis. In 5 KO wins, 4 were penalties, one was after extra time.

Look at England in the last 4 tournaments. On paper very respectable, look a little deeper did nothing special.

England to lose on penalties in the quarters to Brazil/Spain/France etc.

@650lb Sumo @BroRogan

We’re cooked. £54m in total 😳

:rolleyes: No comment! Also VfB - Maccabi in the EL in a few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a "funny" tifo or something. UEFA fine looms 🙈 official PL watch along then

Saying that, if Tuchel plays 2 proper CMs like Rice and Anderson instead of shoehorning Bellingham in there, think it gives us an extra 7%.

What’s the defence looking like?

Pickford
James Stones Geuhi Lewis-Skelly

Not horrid but hardly classic Italy…..granted it doesn’t need to be.

Was looking at Euro qualifiers standings, while unlikely Germany and Italy could face in knockout match up. Italy missed out in last two WC's, 3rd one would be crazy.
