What about 124 team WC with knockout games only? If my math is correct finalists play 7 games. Alot less international games and club season is done earlier, resulting in more rest during summer + players going to WC have time to spend with NT and manager can work on tactics.

Would have alot of lopsided games in the WC i know.

Yeah not holding my breath that there is less games and no more international breaks.

Suprised he didnt match Drai. With Barkov and Tkachuk out for most of next (regular) season, feels like next season should be their year. Ofc possibly beating Dallas, Avalanche and Vegas is no easy task.

As good Panthers have been, they also went to 3 finals in a row (add hockey WC and Olympics), that is ALOT of games for their top players. Could we see Leafs-Canes conference final?
