Just baffling timing on the appointment.

Surely they knew he’d need a complete squad overhaul and that they didn’t have the money to facilitate it?

Unless everyone’s on the same page, and the first 2 seasons are a right off, don’t see this ending well. And it will all be on the Ineos brigade.

I’m guessing the CBs will learn to adapt to the system, Ugarte too……but after that, jury is out on everyone, really. Even the better players like Amad, Bruno and Mainoo go missing far too often.

Cutting Rashford and Antony is a start, presumably likes of Lindelof, Malacia, Casemiro and Erikksen to follow come summer…..but do we really have the confidence that we’ll not only bring in 4-5 new guys but they’ll all succeed?
