Well to use the Liverpool game as an example.....people were quick to point out that Valencia was (marginally) offside in the build up to Zlatan's goal. The same people said nothing when Rooney was wrongfully judged offside 2 minutes earlier when he had a clear goal scoring opportunity.
A full yard offside is not "marginally", by anyones standards

Yeah, I'm a bit of a stickler for this fine margin calls shit lol

Was rustled last week when UV's Alonso got awarded a goal in FF instead of an assist due to it being an own goal. Eriksen didnt, which took an assist away from Kane & gave McCauley an OG.

Alonso's shot was going straight at the keeper until it got deflected
If the strike was initially on target, credit goes to the offensive player no matter how bad the deflection was. That's how I've always understood it, anyways.

Yet they took Eriksens away from him

The linesman was in crap position, and Valencia was moving back to the ball. It's much easier to make the call from a freeze frame.

It's clear from here it was a missed call but far from proof that the refs are going lenient on United.

Exactly....in real time he was offside for a fraction of a second. As stated earlier, it's easy to spot when you have super slo-mo etc.

Here's one.

Last time Rooney won PL player of the month was a long SEVEN years ago...peaked at that time and declined steadily since.

Full Yard?

Either way, point remains the same......why are you all not up in arms that Rooney was wrongfully flagged offside?

Fair enough. Migs & Klavan losing clean sheet pts mustve affected my impartiality lol

I'm all for video assistance for all contentious offsides that lead to goals.

As far as Roo's offside goes. Play on & have video refs alert the on pitch ref when its offside. Like is done with goal line technology.

That's not the point now, is it.
Kinda is,had no horse in the race, but you had millions of uneducated nobheads, that thought brown people or people with a lot of Z's in their name, where taking over their country.

I'd give both Managers a red flag per each half to throw on pitch to contest an egregious call too.

Lose your first contest & you get the 2nd one taken away
