Miley is fine as a backup for a while and should be nowhere near the England team either.

We don't have to sell anyone, it's all paper talk. There is a good chance Bruno goes this summer, though, as the release clause is only active in the next two windows.

Isak will be staying for at least another season. There is no real profit in his sale just yet, unless it is for crazy money. Not many Strikers around either that aren't going to cost silly money.

Bruno cost 35M and his release clause is over 100M so there is money to be made there.

I’m pretty sure, like United, you can’t go crazy in the transfer market this summer, unless you bring in sales.

As much as I dislike these criminals being in charge of our clubs, once you’ve let them in, trying to cut off their nuts is both futile and dumb.

This summer window is rumoured to be our biggest yet. Adidas, Sela, and CL money all come into effect. We are still miles behind the top 6 as far as the commercial side goes but our revenues are going to jump massively in the next couple of seasons.

The question is are they going to back Howe with this rumoured big budget. The Saudis still aren't sold on him, is what is being said.

Howe ain’t the guy long term, surely.

That said Bayern, Pool and Barca all looking for new managers, so maybe not the best time to go recruiting.

Same reason I have a feeling ETH will get another season.

It's always funny when you lot overhype a player and the media jumps on it and backs you up. If you had Miley in your team, you lot would be calling him the second coming of Jesus.

We've seen him perform in the Champions League against top midfielders and even outperform Mainoo head to head, and we're not gassing him up as much as you guys are with Mainoo. He's standing out in your midfield because you don't have any ball carriers in it and that's what he is decent at.

Miley is over a year younger than him, has outperformed him, and isn't getting anywhere near the hype that Mainoo is. Mainoo would be nowhere near the England set-up if he wasn't at Man U.

Miley is actually in the top ten percentile for three of the main categories; he is close to the top ten in one more category and that is up against all midfielders. Mainoo is in the top ten percentile for one category and nowhere near in his next best category.

There is every chance he ends up another Rashford, on huge money, and never lives up to the hype.

So what you are saying is United should buy this Miley kid for say 50m and have 2/3 of their midfield sorted for next 13-16 years?

I think Howe will get another season too but after next season if he hasn't met their goals he will be gone.

Staveley and her crew were supposed to be the first phase of the project and she has been involved a lot and had a lot of say but she has been selling her shares in the club, and her side has dropped from 10% to 6% recently. The next phase is when the Saudis will really start to push the project.

A new state of the art stadium is at the top of their list.

Unless the money is huge for Isak, I doubt they will sell. He cost around 70M and with the way they spread contracts out now, I don't think there will be enough profit in it for them to sell just yet.

Buy for 100m on a 5 year deal. Sell tomorrow for 100m.

FFP= 100/5 = 20m, against 100m.

They literally had to change the rules after Chelsea kept giving 8 year deals.

So fucking dumb.

So true, not many stadiums are at the heart of their city anymore but it's the listed buildings on the Leazes side that are fucking up a big expansion to St James' Park. They're saying that they can expand it but only for another 8K which is better than nothing but it's not enough.

I think they will expand first and then a new stadium announced in a few years.

It does look like the new stadium could be next door to St James' Park though. They want to build it in Leazes Park.

You ruin future windows with this, though, right? I think it's too big of a risk unless you have a lot of sellable assets. You might be able to spend a lot of money in the short term but if the players you buy don't increase in value, or at least hold at what you paid, you're fooked.

Chelsea has a lot of home grown players that they could sell for pure profit, which would bail them out of this craziness.

Looks like Modric is out, guessing if he wants to play back to Croatia?
Kroos is out of contract in July 1, probably going to sit down with Carlo and the board after Euros to see if he wants to keep playing. If he does, my money is on 1 year contract that the player and club are happy with.
