You ruin future windows with this, though, right? I think it's too big of a risk unless you have a lot of sellable assets. You might be able to spend a lot of money in the short term but if the players you buy don't increase in value, or at least hold at what you paid, you're fooked.

Chelsea has a lot of home grown players that they could sell for pure profit, which would bail them out of this craziness.

Yeah, it’s all a bit crap and easily manipulated.

As you say, despite spending a billion, Chelsea are still pretty comfortable after selling Mount, Havertz, Mendy and and Koulibaly, and giving long contracts.

Dumb

Looks like Modric is out, guessing if he wants to play back to Croatia?
Kroos is out of contract in July 1, probably going to sit down with Carlo and the board after Euros to see if he wants to keep playing. If he does, my money is on 1 year contract that the player and club are happy with.

If Madrid is up for paying the release clause, I can see Bruno going in the summer. I'll be gutted but we don't have the pull right now and we can't blow others away with huge wages just yet.

PSG, Citeh, and Barca are all interested in him too, but I don't see how Barca could do it.

Thoughts on Nico Paz? Are they going to give him more game time if either of those two leave?

Then again with Bellingham, Valverde, Tchouaméni, Camavinga, Ceballos + Diaz, Guler and Nico Paz in the team not like Real is in panic mode as far midfielders go. Granted 1-2 of last 3 mentioned probably get loaned or mostly play with Castilla.

As far Barca goes, we see. Looks like they are trying to offload Lewa to Atletico and Atletico might go for it. Putting all their chips on Roque being real deal i see.

[Ruben Uria] FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will have to keep an eye on Robert Lewandowski this summer. The club is eager to get rid of the Polish player. There is an operation that could facilitate his departure.

If he is in the first team, his direct competition would be Rodrygo, Bellingham, Valverde, Guler, Diaz. If he is not loaned, start the season with Castilla and get called up incase injuries pill up.

Almost like Real will need to sacrifice someone.

Even Vini and Mbappe might get awkward.

So far Carlo has managed to deal with things but now Mbappe is there (and Endrick, he seems to be grounded though so couple years he should be happy being an impact sub).
Only way things will work is if Mbappe dont throw a tantrum when he has to play as a forward. But if Vini, Mbappe and Rodrygo work as well as Vini, Benz and Rodrygo did in 20-21 and 21-22, i might get arrested atlest 7 times for public masturbation next season

Crazy how similar it all sounds. It's definitely not just all bad luck
Well, Bielsa was Bielsa the crouching tiger. Marsch saved us after he was let go, but managed to fuck it all up the following season.

That's also why I got a problem with Farke. He gained promotion with Norwich twice, but also got relegated at least once the following season.

We have more than a couple of players who shouldn't be in the championship. If this is not the year, we're done

Edit: forgot to answer question. Injuries is a part part of the game. At least Howe didn't implement Murderball. Either he learn from it or he don't

You lot are definitely coming up now bud, there's a good chance you win the league at this point. Automatic promotion is first and second, not that many games left now.

Howe will get next season as the injuries have been crazy but if the same thing happens again next season I think he will be gone.

Fuckin train that I took to see Maggie just stopped at the station for ages and broke down lol. Thought I was gonna miss it lol. Could’ve cried as I had to re-arrange last minute leave to get the day off. Got there 40 mins later than planned so my view wasn’t the best but was all good. Genuinely one of my all time faves 🥰
