Even if he does not score, teams need to put 2 cb's on him to stop him. As seen in the clip you posted. This creates space for Grealish, Foden, KBD, Silva etc to try attack that space or try long range shots which they did last night against Real. Rudiger was great aswell.

Sure his link up play or play making abilities are not as good as say Benzema or Kane.
But at end of the day he is old school pure finisher and keeps defenders occupied thus creating space for City's extremely skilled midfielders to do their thing. Another thing is KDB out sick/injured, losing Mahrez and Gundogan who operated more centrally and feed the ball, where as Grealish and B. Silva are more wide but last night didnt really get the ball to Haaland.

So this talk about Haaland being league two player is something we usually see from Dailyfail or the Sun.

Ps: not saying Haaland played well or anything but we gotten too used to Cristiano and Messi scoring a goal per game (or better) for a decade. That is not simply doable for anyone else.

Respect.

It's obvious that he's not truly "League 2 level," it's just that he's not a super skilled striker. And there have been tons of great strikers in the past that aren't the best outside the box. Vieri, Inzaghi, Shearer, Batistuta, a few others.

He's getting crap because the numbers he's putting up are Messi-Ronaldo-Lewa-Suarez level, and those guys ARE very technical, so he just kinda stands out. The team and coach he plays for also contributes to this.

Quality game in Paris with Barca going into the 2nd leg with a 3:2 win. @Deffid nice1 getting one back and returning from Madrid with a 1:2 - everything possible.

<6>{<huh!}>
Could have been 2-2, dammit!

If Terrorzic doesn't handcuff the team for 60-70 mins they might have a chance.
