These rules don't come into effect until the season after next. We all know nothing will happen to Citeh anyway.

The new rules are better for us, as it will allow us to spend more but they're going to suck for anyone coming up from the Championship.

Well yeah but its is the final nail on the coffin, right now Real and City are the two top* clubs easily. Both can get best players in the world either at young age (City's multiclub organization and Real's scouting in South America) or get almost every top player if they need/want new player in a position (apart from maybe PSG, Newcastle, United, Chelsea and Pool that can match their wages). Easy for City to agree, ok stop going after the 115 charges if we agree to the new rules.

*Not a knock on other big clubs but as things stand you should bet on Real and City reaching atlest CL semis (unless they face other earlier).

Roma won the first Conference League in 2022 (Boris Johnson PM), but the last Italian winner of the Champions League was Inter Milan in 2010 (David Cameron PM) and the last Italian winner of the Europa League was Parma in 1999 (Tony Blair PM). There are no Italian teams left in the CL this year but it would be nice for them to win something. Or a French team for that matter. It tends to just be England, Spain and occasionally Germany.
