@650lb Sumo Don't be terrible! Poor girl Emma... Me still up for coaching and mixed!
Also NO report on the Whitby game from Tue

did you go? I saw it was a 1:2
Yeah I was already working on it when you commented. I just have a lot to do and sometimes (often) things get done late. I'll try to be prompter in future.
Match Report
I went to Whitby vs Guiseley yesterday evening. The attendance was 423. There were quite a few Guiseley fans, with some banners. Guiseley are a strong team so I was expecting a tough match. Sure enough they applied pressure from the start. It seemed like they were always one step ahead. They were fast and dynamic and their passing was crisp. Our lads were struggling to close them down.
When we did approach their goal it was usually on the break. All our shots were from range as their defence was stout and none of them was very good. Guiseley were knocking on the door and scored at 21.
At 42 there was like a four or five minute pause, and our midfielder Josef Wheatley was sent off. At the time no one knew why the game had stopped or what the card was for. It seems he got a straight red for saying to the ref 'You might as well be in a white shirt'. Obviously Guiseley were playing in white shirts. This was Josef's first game since the opposite fixture in August, where he was injured.
The end of the first half and most of the second half were similar to before, but now even more dominant for Guiseley as they were now playing against ten. We did hit the post in the mid second half though (from range). The Lions went 0 - 2 up at 68. However we did get a penalty on an unusual occasion when we got a man with the ball in their box. We scored the penalty!
There were a few more yellow cards, on both sides as the temperature of the match raised. Somehow in the last 20 or so minutes we began to break through and get time on the ball in the final third. Maybe the lads have been working extra hard on their cardio, or the subs just worked really well this time. We got a few corners and some better chances, then our winger Nathan Thomas missed an absolute sitter on a cross at the far post. The goalie was caught out of position, it was a simple tap in.
Guiseley had a man sent off at 94 for a second yellow. There were eight yellow cards in this match, one red for a second yellow and one straight red. There was also a disturbance in the half time interval with security guards patrolling around looking for someone, talking into their mics, and our manager Nathan Haswell coming to talk to them. Apparently someone was shouting unacceptable abuse at staff from the stand. I didn't know we had beef with Guiseley but it looks like we do!
(This match was postponed three times, and it's the one that was posponed two minutes before kick off, resulting in Guiseley+fans driving 170 miles for nothing lol. Then WTFC tweeted that the match was posponed and blocked replies, then released a statement blaming the FA and referee.)
The boss was unhappy with the ref:
Result
Neither team has moved after this match - Guiseley remain in fifth and Whitby are tenth.

My end the stream av doesn't fit anymore. Nothing to smile about in my life.
Is that because the Plat elite can have bigger avs?
