Power loss? When is the last time Conor rocked or hurt someone with a punch?

That lead uppercut in the first round definitely hurt Dustin, he literally stumbled back a couple of steps.

His power looked same as always to me to be honest, it was always overrated how hard he hits. I think whenever he drops people, it's because they never saw the punch coming, and it was clean on the jaw, not because the raw force of it is so powerful.

Another thing is he always drops guys from a counter (makes it harder to see, and you are wide open as you attack), but the stuff he was hitting Dustin with were not counters, it was Conor pressing forward, and it looked like Dustin was seeing the shots coming his way

Gifs?

Really weird. If Conor actually really rocked Dustin there would be gifs all over the internet.

I think I saw him buzz Poirier with a decent shot but he didn't react much.

Conor used to drop everyone he touched. I think he must be losing his fast twitch explosive power.
Chael has said multiple times in the past, maybe not since Fedor, that Bisping hit him the hardest he's been hit but Bisping couldn't tell how bad it hurt so he didn't stay on him.

He definitely rocked Poirier. But then again a lot of people including Holloway, Eddie, Hooker have all rocked him in someway.

Surprising Conor's power did not stand out. But I never thought he was a one shot KO fighter, he is definitely a precise striker and he will swarm to finish you. But he didn't even follow up in the Dustin fight

The people he has knocked out above 145 is Eddie who doesn't have much of a chin, who was getting rocked quite often since his Bellator days and a shot cowboy

The Eddie fight was way back in 2016... 5 years ago.

He's fought Dustin, Khabib, and Mayweather since and landed some flush shots that did nothing. Dustin said one of the punches hurt but he barely flinched. Conor used to drop everyone he touched what's going on?

He did finish Cerrone with followup punches but it was the kick and shoulder strikes that rocked him.

He hasn't dropped anyone with a punch in 5 years. Somethings wrong.

He shouldn't have trained shoulder strikes 8 hours a day.

I am really loathe to hop in a Conor string but I feel like all of the Conor package is kind of wrapped up in the same elements. He was a dynamo at 145 and immediately moved up and started taking increasingly tougher fights, which helped fuel his legend. He's not an all-time fighter but probably a really good 145 pounder who had a great matchup with Alvarez. The fact that he went life and death with Diaz in two fights helped to fuel his reputation from a promotion perspective, but it was reallly obvious even THEN that he wasn't the same force at 155.

Many guys struggling moving up 10 pounds. Conor isn't tiny for 155 but a lot of what made him great at 145 isn't there as much at 155.

Is normal.

Whiskey makes you weaker,
Studies have proven it so

Connor has generally extolled the virtue of precision over strict power. The fan base sort of ran off with the idea of his touch of death doomsday power, but after the Aldo fight he made it pretty clear where he stands on the issue. He has lost his precision. He’s very stiff lately, and he’s lacking his trademark relaxed posture. To give it a Bruce lee spin he went from being like water to being like ice.

He was never a power punche but a precise counterstriker, khabib made him exitant on the feet because of the takedowns and dustin had the right strategy against him if you gonna go on the feet ( do not be first against conor) his finishing rate drops down siguinificantly when his oponents aren't attacking him
nick said the same thing in the nate rematch. said nate should have been flicking at him and fucking with him cause hes jsut countering.

this was when they didnt allow nick to corner. he was mad as fuck

I just rewatched it, and while there wasn't any one specific moment that Dustin looked rocked, in the last 90 seconds of the first round and first half of the second round, Conor seemed to be landing an awful lot of hard strikes.

He did Dustin. Dustin himself said in a post fight interview that he was staggered and if Conor had made use of that moment he would have been in real trouble.
"Stunned" maybe. Dustin's legs didn't even wobble, let alone look like he was going down.

Yep but he also realized he could take the punch. It seemed like he was also like "ok i got this motherfucker now"

That's not what happened. Conor hit him so hard Dustin said he "flashed", but then he never followed up in what would've likely finished him.

Dustin still couldn't take the punches, but it didn't matter if Conor never took advantage of it.

If he gained any confidence after being hit like that it would be from noticing that Conor either wasn't noticing it or that Conor's current style wasn't going to result in him getting overwhelmed during those moments. That's nothing to do with his own chin though, but entirely on Conor's end.

Yeah but Hooker, Gaethje and Eddie had Dustin hurt too.

At this point in his career cowboys so shot he would get knocked out by womans strawweights. That fight should never have been made. But hey canors gonna cherry pick the easiest fights possible.

Yes, that's why Cerrone has only been dropped/KO'd by Conor and Gaethje in this 5 fight stretch despite fighting 5 strikers in a row.

He is certainly washed, but it's people like you exaggerating it to comical extents simply to "get" Conor.

His power was clearly gone when he barely phased a 70 year old drunk man with a blind-side cheap shot.

Conor's power came from his speed and precision, not some literal strength as a power puncher. He also had precision with his combos and flurries and would pepper his early opponents with perfectly placed shots.
