I would have to say yes but only slightly. I think Boxeos are far narrower at the wrist area but much larger in the glove region. Especially because the "Ear" sticks out so much in Boxeo. I wouldn't classify Boxeos as large gloves though.

Bills gloves aren't really huge imo, they are more rounded but they are Long.

The boxeo isn't a huge glove, but it's not a tiny glove

They look pretty similiar in size despite the classics being 16oz. But yeah, i dont think boxeos are huge or any glove i own for that matter.

Did you get the Classics from Juan, how much did they cost without shipping, and are they relatively compact gloves? Got a mini-review anywhere mate?

Well in that one pic next to the ringside and zepol, they look freaking rediculously big.

Well Ive got another question for ya. Protection can mean different things as Shitzu pointed out. When it comes to shock dispertion or absorbtion, what is better the boxeo or Beaulieu?

Thanks!

Both beaulieu and boxeo have solid protection. Imo just depends if you prefer imf or layered. I personally think imf is better in terms of sparring in every way unless you are using winning layered. And if you hate imf than id say use either r2c c17 or boxeo. Just depends if you want a japanese or mexican glove.

I am not a fan of implementing the term "Japanese glove/style".
For 3 reasons:
1) the only way to define this style is say Winning + (more or less unsuccessfully made) Winning knockoffs,
2) there are not enough knockoff representatives to use a special term for them,
3) Winning gloves were based on Mexican gloves (older Mexican or like Seyer used to be a year ago, the current Reyes, Boxeo are a bit different, but still very similar) so basically they are Mexican style too (in terms of CUT).

So I would really not support the term "Japanese glove/style".

IMF if the quality is decent and most importantly if the shell and stitching are excellent (which they definitely are in case of topboxer's gear) will last forever if used for sparring. Definitely an amazing option for sparring both in terms of durability and protection. As bag gloves they are questionable.

Yeah if someone would like gloves from topboxer for the bag he does do layered but he likes to keep his layered at 12oz and smaller.

What worries me more than the weight (12 oz. is more than enough for the most as the bag/mitts gloves if the padding is good) is that he is not willing to offer different densities of the layers, so basically they are not going to be very protective since they are more likely meant to be fight gloves. So in the end in case of topboxer IMF is unfortunately the way to go even in case of the bag gloves.

Minow has the bag gloves with layered, i believe he said they were very good gloves for the bag but i don't have his post handy to confirm this.

I am not sure what density he uses by default. Another question for minow

I have already asked him about this, but I prefer him to respond here personally instead of speaking on behalf of him :)

Cool we will wait for him to post. Im interested on what he has to say about it!

Strato, you like the platinum speedbag? I believe I recommended that bag to you. The ones at my gym are still going strong

I never owned an IMF glove...
